Even places like Denver Colorado have more crime per capita than Los Angeles, Ca. Much more, as a matter of fact, Denver has higher crime in 4 out of 7 of the major crime categories

I don’t go to Denver, or LA either. We have crime here enough but it tends to be family killings and we get break-in rashes that end sometimes when the B&E artist gets shot in someone’s livingroom. Then they stop for a long time. Drugs upset the community pretty badly in the 70s with drive-bys and the whole kit but the local sheriffs got a pretty good handle on it by 96 or so and it perks along at a low level now.
