They were just undocumented embassy visitors. Good for the economy, don’cha know. Just doing the work Americans won’t do.

The embassy had been closed in anticipation of the demonstration. A spokesman for the State Department said there are no reports of any injuries to Americans.

If Serbia atttacks Kosovo, will the US side with the islam-o-pigs? The protestors would be better served by takeing up arms to defend the Serb enclaves in Kosovo.

Groups of hundreds of people ransacked the US and Croat diplomatic missions, without police visible in the vicinity, local media reported. The flags of the two countries were burnt and replaced with Serb flags. - http://news.monstersandcritics.com/europe/news/article_1392336.php/Serbs_attack_US_and_Croat_embassies_in_Belgrade

They have now amended the article, but the original one said it was closed except for security personnel.

You did well my padawan learner...
Now if we could have just goose the Marines into repel boarders mode...
That would have made some news there!

What are the ROE’s?
What are their official responsibilities?
To: blinachka
The Serbs are completely withn their rights to demonstrate at the embassy, but the Marines should have put a sttop to the actual attack. I’m surprised Serbia hasn’t officially broken off relations with us. We’re dead wrong on this one, and I expect to see Russian tanks in Kosovo by summer.

Where are the armed Marines?
Protecting embassy personnel in a different area. I would be willing to bet the decision was made way up the chain to just back off, let them tear up a few things and feel like they accomplished something.
Chances are, as others have said, they were being stirred up by somebody who wanted a NATO member to start shooting.
To: maquiladora
Don’t panic. The gov will step in soon enough and make sure no one dare stand up to islamic terrorists in their own country.

It’s almost like we’ve decided that Kosovo is an “apology” for Iraq and the WOT. Terrible.

An interesting situation to be in now...
I bet we do nothing, absolutely nothing...
I bet Obama would be on Air Force One right now to go try and be friendly to those that just attacked our diplomatic mission over there...
I mean he’s all about the future, and changing it...
...swoon...

Yes I do blame them. They should have been fire upon by the Marine guards. Agree! Sound like a bunch of thugs to me.

The secondary mission of Marine Security Guards is to provide protection for U.S. citizens and U.S. Government property located within designated U.S. Diplomatic and Consular premises during exigent circumstances, which require immediate aid or action.”

It did. And I think it will be much the same this time, albeit with the rampage coming up from the south.
