BELGRADE, Serbia - A handful of protesters broke into the U.S. embassy in Belgrade on Thursday, cheered on by crowds outside, in a protest at U.S. support for Kosovo's independence.

Think of it this way: Illegal aliens become a majority of California, Texas, and 20 other US states and then sue for independence and the world supports it.
I believe that is what happened in Serbia/Kosovo.
Correct me if I’m wrong...
Let me guess
An ambassador who was appointed by a Democrat declined to allow the marines to repel the invaders?
You're right. I guess I would be pretty pissed off at the Serbs.
The Bush administration is on the wrong side in this issue. The comparison to Iran doesn’t make any sense because the so-called Kosovo “nation” is but a bunch of terrorists that have successfully carved out another bit of Europe into a muslim-majority state.
Things heating up over Kosovo ping.
No. I blame dhimmi USA the-friend-of-islamofacist-terrorists for creating this KOSOVO monster.
It should be obvious, that they were told to stand down.
I expect that as well.
Also, I do not think it's "OK" for them to attack our embassy and I do not approve of it...but as I said, I can't really blame them after the things we have done to them such as: 1. bombing them (on Easter even!), 2. supporting the albanian-terrorists and 3. recognizing the illegally-declared independence of Kosovo by those same terrorists.
Exactly correct. Stuff then People. I was an Embassy guard from 84 to 88 in Jordan first then Austria.
The protester’s probably didn’t look threatening or they’d be dead. More likely they were just escorted out.
True understanding: Another islamist state in the world.
As an aside, much of the opposition to the optional Balkan war on the Right during the 1990's was apparently partisan and not ideological.
As another aside, it would seem that "national interest" has evolved into the foreign-policy equivalent of the Commerce Clause and the (un)Necessary-and-(im)proper clause (Article One, section 8, clause 18 of the United States Constitution) - all interpreted so vaguely as to be meaningless. The Hamiltons and Wilsons have won; America has lost.
We have to make the world safe for the great religon of peace and mercy. They must be able to invade any nation at will and seize territory as they need it.
That’s why there is an America.
“Whats our national interest in war with Serbia?”
At this point it is all about Bill Clintoon’s legacy....lol
Is it just me or does this whole situation have vague similarities to Adolf & His Band of Merry Men, the Sudentenland and some guy by the name of Chamberlain?
Capital letters don’t give more impact to your thoughts. They’re childish.
A U.S. embassy is sovereign property. An attack on one of our embassies is an attack on the United States.
People can always find an excuse for their actions just as the Arabs have since Truman recognized the state of Israel.
None, but then again, we were attacked...
Seems interesting to me to be interested in defending ourselves, unless you believe we should just cut and run when something like this happens???
Otherwise, this may be an opportunity to trim up the State Department since we may not need a lot of these “missions” and delegations to these foriegn countries that don’t like us...
You may be on to something there...
We effectively declared war on them when we recognized part of their country as a separate country... considering that the US is the prime mover behind the situation.
What did we have to gain by recognizing Kosovo? Why provoke them with an act of war, one on behalf of the very terrorist culture we are sending our soldiers to die for, worldwide?
Good for them. That we, the US would have a hand in establishing the first muslim country in Europe is appalling. And, something I think and pray, our ‘leaders’ will soon come to regret this asinine move.
