"No. I blame dhimmi USA the-friend-of-islamofacist-terrorists for creating this KOSOVO monster."

Not you personally... but...

You build "foot basins" for Muslims to wash their filthy feet in public airports

You build massive mosques in US cities with minarets blaring the Muslim call to prayer

Half of the country is going googoo over a guy named Barack Hussein Obama who's platform is to "bring the troops home" and "rid the American mind-set of militarism"

Our nation's President and State Department are ever busy licking the boots of our soon to be Islamic overlords.

What do you expect?

We have shown the world that we are weak and divided - we can't even stand up to countries like North Korea, Iran or Pakistan.

World War III is going to be in full swing over this and as it looks now, we are on the side of Al Qaeda.

Pathetic

We are so on the wrong side of this, and you don’t have to be “Serbia’s best friend” to see that!

I agree.

“A U.S. embassy is sovereign property. An attack on one of our embassies is an attack on the United States.”

A country’s province is sovereign property. An attack on one of the provinces is an attack on the country! By America’s recognition of Kosovo as an indepedent state they have “attacked” the sovereignity of Serbia.

Even the Muslims agree that we are "serving Muslim interests in the Balkans", and I blame NO ONE who fights us on this. We might as well lose the Stars & Stripes and put a Crescent on our flag if we allow this to continue!

Bosnia Grand Mufti: U.S. Policy In Region Serves Muslims' Interests

In an interview with Islamonline on the sidelines at the “U.S. and the Muslim World” conference in Qatar, Grand Mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mustafa Ceric said that the U.S.'s policy in the Balkans serves the interests of the Muslims and of Islam.

if the DUmmies were saying an attack on a US embassy anywhere, for any reason, was justified, we’d be up in arms, and rightly so. I can’t believe there are those here who think this is okay, and it makes me wonder where there loyalties really are. Regardless of what the issues are over Kosovo, this is an attack on sovereign US territory.

This decision was very badly received by many conservative people in Poland. Actually many people cheering for the Serbs burning American embassy, this something unbelievable what Bush administration achieved. You could not witness such situations in the past. Also keep in mind that those people are not any Russian allies. I heard about similar gestures in other astern European countries but Albania stands firmly with Bush, this is the most important! :)

You know what...I actually agree with the sentiments and feelings in this thread...

My only concern is that when stoopid mistakes in foriegn policy are made in the next administration, and there will be many, that the same sort of miscrients perform as equally well and with equal vigor when that happens...

My only abhorant position is that I wish our Marines had been given leave to stand up to this attack, regardless of how wrong our policy (on recognizing Kosovo) was implemented...

Be prepared for thsi to be speech material for the Dems (including McCain) to say how differently they would have handled this...

And the irony behind that will be they will not say how they would have handled this...

This will boost Hillary’s campaign if she can “out tough” Obama “the cut and runner”...And she’d be a hypocrite to say anything tough about this in the first place as well...But we know she will...

From the Marine Corps Embassy Security Guard website

Procedure is great when you can follow it, but as I said, somebody way up the chain probably told the Marines to just back off, let the rioters do their thing, and we'll leave it at for now.

The American(s) responsible for making such calls are not braindead. They know this is being deliberately stirred up, and they know that the last thing we need is US Marines firing on civilians.

Replacing an embassy is easier than starting a mini-war and then trying to stop it. The people stirring this up would love nothing more than the world to be watching US Marines shoot these people.

As well, this is a good example of how well disciplined these Marines are. A lot of Marines/soldiers in similar situations would have cut loose. As bitter-tasting as it maybe, these Marines are following their orders and holding their fire. That speaks volumes about their discipline and training.

The person responsible for that call is the AMB or the STATE dude in charge of security.

The Marines take thier orders from them

You would be amazed (maybe not) at what 10 Marines can do to take the fight out of hundreds...

I know many are so against taking a stand against those that would attack us for whatever conveluted reason, but their reasoning is given more weight than our need to defend our cause, or whatever you want to call it...

They are making the right call. I know it sounds tinfoil, but the Russians and their allies want the Marines to fire on the crowd (that's why they are going after an embassy), and thankfully the Americans in charge know that and are refusing to play that game. We've got some pretty level-headed people running the show over there. They seem to understand the area pretty well.

You have to understand something - the people behind this "riot" (if you want to call it that, I tend to think of riots as disorganized, and this is clearly organized) deliberately targeted the embassy, in hopes of provoking us.

We aren't so weak-minded that we are going to let them manipulate us like that.

They want some military action, which could get the population behind the the start (or continuation) of a civil war, and so far we are refusing to give it to them.

>>>There aren’t enough Marines stationed there to defend the embassy. It’s an older design and it doesn’t appear to have been upgraded, at least from the exterior. It’s close to the street and there are no barriers to prevent vehicles from driving right up to the side. In short, it’s not a structure that can be defended by a 6 guard detachment <<<<

Jess, the attacked building is only a store-front. The entire Embassy complex occupies half a block on a steep hill. Check on Google Earth, very detailed pics. Embassy is dug in into the hill (think of San-Franscisco type street, where the old building at the top is the entrance to the consular section only. There are anti-terrorist concrete blocks all around the embassy, it is not possible to drive any 4 wheeled vehicles through them.

Methinks that the Marines were inside the facility, not consular section. Protesters could not enter the facility. Btw. U.S. is building new embassy with the access to Cold war era system of underground installations.

Ambassar residence is far away from the Embassy.

Think of it this way: Illegal aliens become a majority of California, Texas, and 20 other US states and then sue for independence and the world supports it.

I believe that is what happened in Serbia/Kosovo.

Correct me if I’m wrong...

You are wrong. Its more like this:

Illegal aliens become a majority of California, Texas, and 20 other US states by killing, raping and committing genocide against the locals. They are funded by trafficking heroin and women kidnapped from Afghanistan. Then they sue for independence and the world supports it.
