Young artist hanged herself after grief of aborting her twins

A talented artist hanged herself because she was overcome with grief after aborting her twins, an inquest heard yesterday. Emma Beck, 30, left a note saying: "Living is hell for me. I should never have had an abortion.

"I see now I would have been a good mum. I told everyone I didn't want to do it, even at the hospital."

"I was frightened, now it is too late. I died when my babies died.

"I want to be with my babies - they need me, no one else does."

Yesterday an inquest heard that in the run-up to the termination Miss Beck discussed it with her GP, who described her as "extremely vulnerable". She missed one hospital appointment and cancelled another before finally seeing a doctor at Treliske hospital in Truro, Cornwall.

But the counsellor at the unplanned pregnancy clinic was on holiday, so the doctor gave her the number of a "telephone pregnancy counselling service". Eight days later, in September 2006, the same doctor performed the termination.

In February the following year, the night before her 31st birthday, Miss Beck hanged herself at her home in Helston.

>> This unfortunate young woman had serious psychological problems long before she had an abortion,...

> That sound to me, every reason for her not to have an abortion. Knowing her mental state and all. At for the boyfriend. She should have kept the babies, and dumped the scumbag!

Agreed on all counts.

But of course, that doesn't count with folks who will claim the only reason the poor woman killed herself was the abortion -- per the headline. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they blamed ALL her problems on the abortion, including even those she had prior to becoming pregnant. *sigh* She sounds like she shouldn't have gotten knocked up in the first place, much less had an abortion.

May God rest her soul and those of her unborn twins. And may that boyfriend reflect forever on this tragedy he might have been able to prevent; though I doubt he will.

This story illuminates the result of state sanctioned murder, i.e. abortion, and nationalized health care. This is the furure that the socialists in our country have in store for us.

Yep.

Seems to me, her "bad choices" included the choice of boyfriend, and the (presumed choice of) getting pregnant. And quite possibly, long before that.

The post-abortion grief may have put her over the top, but she'd obviously been climbing in that direction for years.

Abortion supporters don’t care if women feel pressured into having abortions as long as they continue to have them. The only “prenatal” service that abortion supporters offer is counseling that tells women that abortion isn’t wrong. The pro-aborts don’t offer support services to pregnant women. They just tell them that aborting their babies will solve their problems. And, as we can see from the attitude of these people to this woman’s suicide, they don’t care if the woman suffers severe distress as a result of the abortion. It isn’t their fault!

I’m sure that God will have mercy on the soul of this young woman but I am not so sure that He will be merciful to those who pushed her into having the abortion.

This is a horrible story but all too common and all too ignored by those that claim they are looking out for the best interests of women and their children. A friend of mine related a story about a woman who had been “forced” into an abortion by her husband and her parents. She had a psychological break after it and being deeply religious would hallucinate seeing the devil holding her little baby after she went through with the abortion. Women are constantly bullied and threatened into having abortions by boyfriends, parents, and husbands and it is disgusting. Where is the charity, where is the concern, where is the good will for these women, or the respect for their natural desire to keep their baby and carry it to term?

The leftists proponents of this horrid procedure will find themselves in hell for this if for nothing else.

Hasn’t she heard? Abortion is supposed to FREE women of the domination of men!

Her poor tortured souls is at rest. I pray that she made her peace with God before she died.
