Exactly! I know. I do understand why people with low end jobs would rather hire Mexicans. Its like I always tell people. Because they will work. Its as simple as that. Just too bad we can’t get the good ones without having to take their riffraff, too. Thats where the problem lies.

Thnaks Martin, I just sent a love note to Mr. Clean hands. Dude looks like he never busted a sweat in his life.

When the time comes I will be sending cash to his opponent.

Regards

I don’t agree with his policies. I just understand his point about trading nonproductive welfare bums for people who will work. And no, I haven’t been in a coma. I am a thinking rational person who doesn’t do the knee jerk thingie well. I guess I just see his point.

Bull. ‘Seasonable Employees’ do not qualify for any benefits. Neither do farm workers.

He said there are too many Missourians who would rather enroll in government programs than earn a wage.

Typical Republican. So instead of working to kill the programs which would force the lazy to get a job, he wants to see more illegals come here to work & who'll also mooch off the programs as well.

I got to the Ozarks every summer to see some relatives retired there.

I don't know where you go but I've lived here most of my life and I think the quality of people in the Ozarks is excellent.

Ok let me clarify that. I know they aren’t supposed to get any gov aid but they do. We all know that. They go in the welfare office with their pay stubs and get the welfare whether they qualify or not. I think our state is cracking down on this, though. Used to the welfare offices were just crowded with them, now there are very few applying for aid. Some of it due to the fact they are getting the higher paying jobs, now.

I’m sure every state in the union has it dregs on society. I do agree that a lot of employers don’t try hard enough to hire Americans or lets be honest, what we are relly saying is nonMexicans, right?

I saw your earlier post and declined to answer because I didn't want to point out how you are no different than this cheap labor jerk politician.

Don't bother with the he "is a Marine" stuff on this topic unless you think all Marines support this BS. He is a cheap labor pimp and an insult to his country and the Corp.

These illegals you love so much fill our jails, our schools and destroy our emergency rooms. The low wages they accept push Americans into public assistance.

"And by golly, if we could find a way to trade them, I would trade them in a heartbeat."

Easy way to trade them - move to Mexico.

“He’s committing political suicide.”

Yep, that’s what the truth is now, political suicide. The best kept secret in America is that welfare is THE driving factor behind illegal immigration. I see it every season when the welfare recipients stand on the corners polishing their wheels, drinking their beer and talking on their cell phones while immigrant labor gets the crops in.

Who is going to work for 40-50 hours a week when they are paid more than that to do nothing? There is a labor shortage in America due entirely to government stipends to the welfare class. Somebody HAS to to do the work so immigrants, illegal and otherwise step up.

She said they make low enough wages that they would still qualify for benefits. By "benefits" I think she means food stamps, electrical assistance, etc. You know the "benefits" you and I pay for.

The ONLY reason they come here, those that DO work is because our labor costs are higher than Mexico. If you paid a fair wage for what OUR cost structure requires to live in the U.S. then you’d have more LEGAL people working those jobs.

It is idiotic to believe that you or anyone else will benefit from slave labor. We pay out MORE in benefits and taxes than we SAVE in having ILLEGAL slave labor. It is the UGLY side of capitalism - exploiting those that have it worse in Mexico.

“I got to the Ozarks every summer to see some relatives retired there. Some of the working class Ozarkans are pretty shiftless, so I can see Jetton’s frustration.”

I live here and that’s pretty much BS. I just got back from a job interview for an analyst position that required some college, an engineering background, database and spreadsheet skills and strong math skills. I figures it paid at least 40K a year. Nope. About $10 an hour. I turned it down but they will have no problem filling it. People around here work for lower pay than anywhere I’ve ever seen and as a result the unemployment rate is quite low.

This is why I usually stay out of threads like this. You wind up getting called names and accused of being a RINO. One more time. I do not agree with illegal immigration! I just see the mans point and if everyone would just stop and think rationally, they would see what he is trying to say. The same people who are giving this guy grief wouldn’t put up with a welfare bum for 5 minutes. Because I understand his point, then I am a RINO. I just think for myself and don’t have an instant reaction to everything.
