This can very well be spun as anti-military. A mistake to even bring up the question IMO, especially since McCain is fresh in the news standing up against ugly politics - he’s staking a similar space as Obama, a guy who refuses to sling mud.

Another softball by the NYT that McCain is going to hit out of the park. Imagine the millions of Americans who were born at military hospitals overseas.
And, just asking? Was Obama’s father even an American? I thought he remained a Kenyan citizen.
The NYT is reaching so obviously, I wonder if they are actually intending to HELP McCain.
Otherwise, if they think this kind of stuff will stick, they’re idiots.
