The Turks are putting down a threat and helping in Iraq.

They well know that taking care of the Kurds is tolerated by America and Iraq as an inducement to be a strong ally in the coming conflict with Iran.

What “ally”? When we needed them to fight Sadaam, they cost us the use of our best army division and the chance to open
a northern front.

That’s what we get for 50 years of being an “ally”.

The US can count on the fingers of one hand the number of “allies” it depend on.

And that is being generous. . .
