Actually, I think he is named after the Imam Hussein ibn Ali, whose death at the hands of henchmen of the Umayyad Caliph in Karbala is commemorated annually by the Shi’ites with a day of mourning (this past week as it happens), not the late Ba’athist dictator of Iraq.

I think we should call him by the name he is proud to wear. If the man decided when he became a Christian to wear the name of the grandson of the prophet Mohammed, and a martyr of the Shiite religion, who are we to not honor that? Some chose to be called John, or Mark, or Chris, he chose Hussein. No big deal.
Alternatively, how about "The (Scam) Artist Formerly Known as Hussein"?
