It's Friday afternoon with Tony again. 1-877-9-NO-SPIN (1 877 966-7746)
Tony is now the substitute teacher on Bill O'Reilly's radio show, airing Fridays from 12:00pm - 2:00pm on a station near you.
A number of streams are available here.
Also, there is a stream available from Tony's old homies at Fox news.
If all else fails, you can find a dead photon version of the Radio Factor here.
You copied my “to do “list!
It was also attempted behind closed doors with a few elite Senators [ahh, including John McCain]. It was not held to the debate standards used previously on such an important topic.
In all honesty, the “comprehensive” immigration legislation may have passed had the amnesty feature been omitted. Easy to have done. Permanent visas far more acceptable than a “pathway to citizenship” for people who have poured into this country illegally since GWB first suggested the possibility of the legislation.
Are you behaving Foxy? ;-)
It’s also annoying to hear what Tony just said about not voting meaning you don’t participate in the process, so can’t complain about what goes on. It is a bit insulting to those of us who always vote (and will this year, though possibly not for a presidential candidate we find totally unacceptable).
He thinks changing the subject to Victoria’s secret is going to take our minds off the subject at hand.
Hi, TOL. Glad you could make it. Love the graphic.
Good to hear Tony back, eh?
To my mind, they were going to have to take out all the goodie bags...college tuition, social security, chain migration, paying for their English classes, etc.
I kept seeing, over and over again things that were just designed to provide talking points during the “debate” and then be reinterpreted, or overruled, or just ignored, during implementation.
I actually would likely be a lot more “liberal” than many of my FReeper friends who would define amnesty as, “You have two weeks to leave the country, after which we will put you in a camp somewhere”.
But I just didn’t trust this bill.
“To my mind, they were going to have to take out all the goodie bags...college tuition, social security, chain migration, paying for their English classes, etc.”
Bingo! As resident of a border state paying for all the costs of illegal immigration is driving us to bankruptcy! I’m compassionate, but is it too much to ask that people honor our laws?
You didn’t miss much. Tony did say he might run for President on a third party ticket, but other than that not much new.
8)
Makes sense, that one went over my head when I saw it.
I agree Bahbah.
The "Illegals" problem is way too complicated for me to have the magic answer, but I know when illegals are treated much better & with more respect from our gov't than Legal US citizens.... we are in deep trouble.
Harry Reid: We have not yet begun to surrender.
Another reason that it would be wise to just drop this for now and maybe just suggest people bide their time and make their decision when it is time instead of just annoying good folks further. McCain is plenty good at that all by himself.
I wish these people will listen to me...LOL.
Yep. Easy to do at my age, TOL.
It may have passed if it were about border security only and actually accomplished it.
Think about how many have gotten in since.
Disgraceful.
