Can a Catholic Vote for Barack Obama?

Those who accuse presidential aspirant Senator Barack Obama of empty rhetoric must have missed his speech last July, recently made public, to the benefactors of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. At that festive event, he was as sharp and specific as a scalpel.

“The first thing I’d do as president,” he told a cheering audience, “is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.”

The audience cheered enthusiastically. And well they might. As NARAL enthuses on its web site, this act would “codify Roe v. Wade’s protections and guarantee the right to choose for future generations of women.”

In short, if we are to take Obama at his word, his first priority as president would be to serve an early death sentence on millions of unborn Americans.

Obama’s record as state senator in Illinois and as United State Senator show that these particular sentiments are not, as he might say, “just words.”

In 2002, as an Illinois state senator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act and twice helped kill it in committee. This bill would have protected those miracle babies that somehow survived late-term abortions.

When it gets down to it, no sane individual should vote for Barack Hussein Obama or Hillary Rodam Clinton.

Clinton: "Ready On Day One!"

Obama: "Murdering Kids On Day One!"

He believes in hope, for the future that comes tomorrow. Not the past that was in front of us and now is behind. He believes in choice, the choice to hope for change tomorrow.

Well, they’ve voted for their fellow Catholics, Kennedy, Kerry and Pelosi, who also believe that murdering babies is okay, so why shouldn’t they vote for Obama? The bishop will be burying Ted Kennedy with the full blessing of the church, just as it has done for the Mafia dons. Then they wonder why they get so little respect.

No Catholic can vote for a pro-abortion candidate and remain a Catholic in good standing.

Sure Catholics can vote for Obama, but should they? No. No Christian should ever vote for any Democrat.

> Can a Catholic Vote for Barack Obama?

Yes, if said Catholic thinks that God doesn’t mind tearing little babies apart in their mothers’ wombs, or decapitating them as they are being born, or suffocating them after they are born.

And, yes, if said Catholic believes that Jesus taught that it was ok to take money by threat of force from one person to give to another.

He doesn’t believe in looking back, for to look back is to look behind, so we are not looking forward because we’d be too busy looking back.

Can a Catholic vote for John McCain? He’s “very honored” to receive the endorsement of John Hagee.
Says so right here on his campaign site: http://johnmccain.com/Informing/News/NewsReleases/9e22596a-63ba-464e-a870-4b8099a3f32c.htm

He’s honored to recieve the endorsement of a man who calls my church the Great Whore, a False Cult System, etc.

So, can a Catholic vote for John McCain?

Are these the votes he voted “present”, because he was eyeing a career in the U.S. Senate and possible run at the White House?

Given the open support Catholic charities gives to illegals in this country. In violation of the law. The question should be can anyone support a Catholic.

No person claiming to be Christian (regardless of denomination) can vote for a pro-abortion candidate and consider themselves Christian in all good conscience.

A Catholic can vote for Obama. If he is willing to pay the price, he can do any fool thing he wants. After all, who among us hasn’t done something foolish or sinful?
But most of us have better sense than to brag about it on our bumper stickers.

Great answer. But if a Catholic is serious about being faithful to God's teaching's, he or she could never vote for someone who is as rabidly pro-abortion as either Obama or Her Heinous.

That’s Rodham (rod ham) Clinton. To be precise.
Well, to be precise,.... no, I won’t say it.
