Ignoring the US issue for a second, how is it that Israel’s wall is controversial, and Egypt’s is OK? Both are trying to keep the same people out.

Exactly. Where are the "Peace not Walls" idiots that are calling for divestment from Israel?

Good point, and ironically you'd think Egypt would have a little more compassion than Israel should considering they are all arabs, as well as the Palestinians not being sworn enemies to Egyptians as they are to the jews in Israel.
