I heard this argument 20 years ago. The answer would seem to be NO. If it was the next marijuana, potheads would have figured it out 40 years ago.

Banana Peels anyone?

Other then that you smoke it, salvia’s not anything like marijuana. It creates an intense hallucinogenic experience that last for all of 5-10 minutes, and then the effect goes away almost as quickly as it came.

Did anyone ever actually try "Oregano sprayed with Raid?" That was one of the legends of my misspent youth, but even in those days I knew better than to smoke insecticide.

trust me-—several years ago I tried this stuff, and it was far more powerful than marijuana, even the highest grade marijuana around. Frankly, it was so powerful and disorienting that it is really scary. The high only lasts a few minutes, but during that time you are virtually unable to function-—and you have no comprehension of what is going on around you.
