Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons. Still they arent a threat?
I think that cow is out of the barn. Do you think we should make war on everyone that doesn't like us who are getting nuclear technology?
I don't. Perhaps we should get serious then and begin the draft. We sure don't have a big enough military to take all this on. And YOU all know that to be true.

So, we should look the other way, allowing them to progress on their quest so they can threaten their neighbors with nukes? Threaten Israel? Threaten Europe?
Good grief, even if you don’t perceive Iran as a threat to this country, surely you can see the danger of the mullahs having nuclear weapon capability within the larger world. It’s bad enough that Pakistan has it, or even India for that matter.
How do you feel about N. Korea’s nukes? China? Think we’ll be able to deter them by showing weakness?

Iran (ackIneedajob) is hardly just a country
who doesn’t like US, they have directly
threatened the US and Israel with harm,
in addition to providing weaponry and
terrorists who are killing our brave
troops.

Iran has been at war with the US for a very long time. It's just been at a level we've been willing to ignore. There are things that could have been done (can still be done) to encourage Iranians who desire freedom, underground ops to support some of their actions, etc. Heck, we know they are involved in supplying and training forces in Iraq for actions against our own military. That alone should be stated loudly and consistently by the President. The President and the State dept have shown little interest in trying many avenues, other than the UN. Having a commander (if these accusations about Fallon are true) who makes it known that war with Iran is off the table is like playing poker blind. You'll always lose.

There’s a very simple way to take down the mullahs without the use of ground troops. Destroy their refineries, pipelines and other oil facilities with air strikes. In other words, take away their cash flow. And leave their economy without fuel. In addition, actually kill their leaders and Ayotollahs with no warning air strikes. And bomb their Internal Security buildings during the day time when they are filled with our enemies (no more blowing up the janitors with night attacks). Then methodically destroy their ports, shipping and electrical grids. Leave them nothing to do but starve. And encourage the various minorities to split off. No need to waste time with nation building and no fear that Al Qaeda could work with Shiites.
