Bedridden Manuel Uribe, who is one of the world's fattest men, needed a crane and a truck to take him out for the day - only for the truck's canopy to get stuck beneath a bridge, forcing him to return home.

This clip has no voiceover.

Man, that is disgusting fat. Maybe we can all chip in and get him a gift certificate to the Emperor’s Club. Arriba!

Would probably be easier to bring the rest of the world to him.

So what does he do when he has to go to the bathroom? Who is giving him food? Who gave him a candy bar? I am only a few pounds overweight and I don’t eat candy! If we get HILLARYCARE we will pay the med bills for fatties like him. His legs look like Hillary’s legs.

Was that chocolate he was eating? Good gravy, let him chew on celery if he’s got the munchies. Who keeps bringing him this stuff?

If we get HILLARYCARE we will pay the med bills for fatties like him.

If it follows the norm, we will at first, but eventually the socialists will just let people like him die. And nobody else will be allowed to give him medical care, unless he goes out of country.

The best we can hope for is probably like England or Canada. The worse one so far was in Germany back in the 30s...the death camps started as a "unworthy life" campaign...why should the state pay medical care for hopeless cases. Then, why should the state pay for the food of hopless cases...eventually, why should the state tolerate "inferior" religion or ethnicity.

And boy if the secularist socialist don't really look down their noses as "religious" people.

Yep, better just a really, really crappy system if the socialists get their way. Next to candidates like Hillary and Obama, McCain doesn't look too bad.

Uribe? Wonder if there is any relation to the Colombian president? This seems to be shot some where down south.

Yeah, the candy bar was a bit over the top :)

I am really saddened to read such negative replies for this poor guy.
We have no idea if this man has medical conditions that have caused some of his weight problem, nor do we know if the 'candy bar' might be a health food bar.
My prayers go out to him.

Unless that health food bar is made out of celery and air pockets, he shouldn’t be eating it.

I believe this is the man that recently lost 500 pounds so that he could be lifted outside his home for the first time in several years.

Fox reported it like this:

“The Mexican man dubbed the world’s fattest by the Guinness Book of World Records has dropped 570 pounds, nearly half his body weight, according to a report from French news agency AFP.

Manuel Uribe, 42, weighed 1,257 pounds at his heaviest. He was bed-ridden for five years and doctors from the United States, Italy and Mexico have been helping Uribe lose weight through dieting and exercise for the past two years, it is reported.

Uribe appears in the 2008 Guinness book. He told AFP last year that an editor of the Guinness book told him he would be considered for the man who lost the most weight category in 2009.

Uribe’s goal is to get down to 265 pounds. In March, a crane will lift him out of his house and he will be driven around on a flat-bed truck, according to the report.”
