Bullying in schools begins with the tone set by the administration....if a zero tolerance bullying policy was enacted in the school and FOLLOWED through by the administration and faculty with immediate diciplinary actions it would have an immediate impact. However, parents need to be culpable for their children's behavior and too often, parents will scoff when it is their child being disciplined......

When I went to school, the schools with the least amount of bullying were the ones where the teachers and administration just didn’t put up with it. If you beat someone up or engaged in a pattern of bullying, you were suspended. Period.
