Brothers in Battle, Best of Friends by William ‘Wild Bill’ Guarnere and Edward ‘babe’ Heffron

Oh, that sounds great! I loved "Band of Brothers"! Our library has it on order, so I put it on my list!

I’m feeling somewhat sensual, so I’m indulging in a trashy genre novel: FOR A FEW DEMONS MORE. Part of the Rachel Morgan series. Very, very funny — a three-way parody of detective, fantasy & chick-lit. (Sexy, too!)

I'm reading a few books now, when I have time between classes.

The first is “A Crime So Monstrous” by E. Benjamin Skinner, a chilling book about modern day slavery in places such as Haiti and Sudan. The second is “Double or Nothing”, an interesting memoir by a guy who bought a casino. The final book is “Our Culture, What's Left of It” by Theodore Dalrymple, a collection of essays.

All three are very worth the time and price.

I'm on my first and I like it so far. As long as it doesn't devolve into a silly chick-lit. romance novel and stays a gritty fantasy/crime-detective novel I'm good. The characters are likable and the author is good at keeping up the suspense level.

Don't know if you saw this thread. They mention 'Liebowitz' as well.

Thanks--I'll look into it.
