The political process this year has energized many and it is about time. The sad thing is that the “good ole boys” in the “good ole party” do not know how to follow the rules
With the information I have gathered since the Nueces County Republican Convention, I believe I am beginning to understand. While in County and Senatorial District Republican Conventions across the state people were welcomed to join in a fair and open process, that was not the case in Nueces County.
I believe that the Chair in Nueces County made the assumption (without verification) that new people becoming active equaled a takeover...
And then, the Chair apparently decided that the appropriate response was to willfully break the law by intentionally obstructing access to open records, thereby blocking timely challenge at a county convention level to ineligible delegates that had been added in violation of party rules; then railroading the county convention, and denying the rights of delegates who had the duty to correct falsified records.
If you would like to hear a sound clip of part of the convention you may go to this link

I think it is a big deal when citizens rights are trampled. I believe that more people should be involved in the political process, but that is hard when the established
parties do not want to allow others to be heard or to follow their own rules.

The end DOES NOT justify the means!!!

Wow. It is hard to imagine that an influx of active Republicans into a shrinking party that is losing power is a “takeover”. And I am further shocked that this kind of thing could occur in my home state. There are laws at stake here. And a county chairman, as powerful as he is, does not have authority to ignore the established rules.

To somehow think that anyone “owns” the Republican Party merely indicates how corrupt it has become. As a lifelong Republican in Texas I am ashamed.

And I am surprised that there has not been a lawsuit yet.

Welcome to FR along with your new-found Party.

You might want to look up the rules before you start crying foul. You Paulbots have been so brazen in your attacks that you have tipped your hand, that you are part of a criminal conspiracy by an outside group attempting to disrupt another Political Party in a covert and organized way.

Had you got involved in the political process as individuals sincere in wanting to be part of the Republican Party process, you would have been welcome as all libertarian-leaning Republicans have in all past years.

You brought the problems on yourselves and have the gaul to cry foul. How liberal of you.
