Since when did genuinely wanting to be involved in the process become a desire to hijack the process?
A-men to all of you, for being some voices of reason on Free Republic. For someone to post a thread about active, Constitutional citizens trying to get involved in a process that has become eerily similar to the backroom deals of yesteryear...and then have the nerve to say that they are “attempting to hijack” the party is beyond me. I don’t know whether to laugh loud at the thread poster’s lunacy or cry for our country. Again, to those I have responded to here, thanks for some sanity.

Great point!!!
Since when did genuinely wanting to be involved in the process become a desire to hijack the process?
Welcome to FR also. ;)
Libertarian leaning Republicans have been welcomed and involved in the GOP for decades. This was a covert, coordinated effort to undermine the Republican Party by an outside organization - radical leftists posing as libertarians.
Their objective is not to merely tilt the GOP Platform towards libertarian views or even to vault Ron Paul into a long shot GOP nominee. It is to cripple the GOP grassroots to ensure that their Democrat nominee, pushed by their leftists "brothers in arms" in the Democrat Party, gets elected President along with a liberal controlled Democrat Congress.
This is a political coup d' estate by the radical left to take this country very far away from the ideals that Ron Paul and his libertarian followers claim to support. And many Paulbots are more than willing to assist, like Stalin's useful idiots did.
