Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters has attacked democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton – calling the senator from New York "ghastly".
Waters, who admits to being a fan of Clinton’s rival for the democratic nomination, Barack Obama, said that Clinton would invade Iran if she was elected America’s next president.
I was so disappointed the other night when the ghastly Hillary got Texas and kept the whole thing going," he told the Independent.
"Please God, let's not have this woman! Hillary will want to make her mark and show that she can be just as good as a male president, and she will f*cking invade Iran.
“Trust me. She voted to declare the Iranian Republican Guard a terrorist organisation!"
Despite being ineligible to vote, Waters, who lives in New York, said he would “buy a whole page in The New York Times” in order to “fly Obama's flag”.
“But I would be terribly afraid they'd go, 'This is that pinko sh!tbag who's attacking our President in time of war',” he added.
Clinton and Obama next face off against each other in the Philadelphia primary on April 22nd.
The eventual winner of the democratic nomination will go head-to-head with Republican John McCain in the battle to become the country’s president in November.

I saw him in concert in 1988 in Chicago, during his Radio K.A.O.S. tour and while the show was great, he made one liberal comment after another during the concert. I remember him saying, “let’s give the Democrats a chance this time” (when Dukakis was running) and I remember thinking, “shut up and play you liberal p——!” (and I wasn’t really political then). People started yelling, some cheering, but a lot of booing.
I had great floor seats close to the stage for the ‘Animals” tour concert at Philly’s Spectrum back around 1977. It was one of the most amazing shows I ever saw. ‘Animals’ itself wasn’t impressive, but they did one side of the ‘Wish You Were Here’ LP and then one side of the ‘Dark Side’ LP. That’s the stuff I went for.
But the floating stuffed furniture and animals were over the top. That concert brought a smile to my face.
One thing I’ll always regret was not going down to Pittsburgh with my roommates to see Floyd do the ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ concert in ‘73. When PF did the “Breathe in the air” refrain, they rolled open the roof of the Igloo (or Civic Center or whatever the name of the venue was). My roommates said it was a beautiful, starry night up there once all the pot smoke dissapated.
Anyways, I have every Pink Floyd album and they’ve always been one of my favorite bands. (Even had Sid Barrett’s ‘Madcap Laughs’ but I traded it away to somebody thirty-plus years ago. It stunk anyway.)
I also rememeber taking a date to see a Pink Floyd movie at a theater. It was called ‘Live at Pompeii’ and at the end of the film it showed Pink Floyd in the studio working on ‘Dark Side of the Moon’.

I saw that tour in Taxechusetts and don’t recall him irking the crowd by mentioning Dukakis.
There were some criticisms of Reagan/Bush/Thatcher in some of the songs but no spoken rants.
Jim Ladd talked to the crowd. Paul Carrack talked to the crowd. I don’t recall Roger ever “saying” anything to the audience.
David Gilmour only recently sold off his cars (keeping only 2) and houses (I think keeping only 2).

Me too. I can’t remember the last time I played “The Pros And Cons of Hitchhiking” or “Amused To Death”, and I don’t even own “Radio Kaos”, but Gilmour’s 1st 2 solo albums are in regular rotation at my house.
I love his two solo DVDs, “In Concert” (The unplugged performance) and “Remember That Night”. His performance of “Echoes” on his latest DVD blows me away. Gives me goose bumps!
I have remastered versions of Gilmore’s solo albums on CD, and I never tire of listening to them.
Gee, it looks like Obama may have found a way to get around the problems he created when talking about the small town folks. :=)
At last! I couldn’t wait for the gods of pretentious ‘70s art rock to speak up!
