You’re welcome! My grandparents still talked of the ‘epizootic’, and we thought it was some sort of joke until we looked it up. No doubt their parents and grandparents ranked it in there with the Depression, the Spanish Flu, and The Great War (WWI) as seminal events, although they were old enought to remember the other three firsthand. It would be much the same as if most of the motor vehicles today stopped functioning.
