Rozita Swinton Doesn’t Like the FLDS (abuse call came from her phone)
Dreamin Demon ^ | April 20th, 2008

Posted on 04/23/2008 1:30:49 PM PDT by Between the Lines

Colorado Springs, CO and Eldorado, TX - This is not the first time Rozita Swinton has made up a good story and called authorities. But it’s definitely the first time one of Swinton’s calls produced a mass raid on over 400 people. Swinton, 33, is now facing charges related to the April 3 raid on the Yearning For Zion Ranch in Eldorado, Texas, owned and occupied by members of Warren Jeffs’ Fundamentalist Church of Latter-Day Saints. Rozita Swinton may have set the whole raid off by calling a San Angelo crisis center on March 29, saying she was a young girl named Sarah who was being abused.

Rozita Swinton is a soft-spoken young woman with what police call “a baby voice”. She’s her neighborhood delegate to the Obama campaign. She is single, without children, pays her bills and works for an insurance company. By all accounts, she is a giving person, allowing her roommate to move in after the Eldorado raid had begun. But Swinton has called in false reports before, tying up police and social resources for weeks at a time.

In June 2005, Swinton was arrested in Castle Rock, Colorado after she called an adoption agency posing a teenaged pregnant girl. Swinton told the agency and police that she was young, pregnant, alone and thinking of killing herself after leaving the baby at a fire station. There was no baby. There was no teenager. There was only Rozita Swinton, who had no explanation for what she’d done. Police charged her with filing a false police report, and she is on probation for that case.

In February of this year, a swarm of Colorado Springs police officers went out looking for a thirteen-year-old who said she was locked in a basement. Nope - it was Rozita Swinton again. That case is still pending.

Flora Jessop, a former FLDS member who escaped and now runs a crisis center, says that Swinton repeatedly called her posing as a young abused girl. Jessop said she first got a call March 30 (the day after the San Angelo hotline call) from Swinton, who said she was an abuse victim named Sarah. Swinton had done her research, but missed a few key points over the 30-50 hours of phone conversations Jessop taped. And the man Sarah claimed was her husband is a well-known polygamist FLDS member who doesn’t live at the Eldorado compound at all. That was one of several clues that led authorities to Swinton’s door.

Is Rozita Swinton a wingnut, or a misguided angel of mercy trying to save the abused children of the FLDS? Investigators are still looking for Sarah, on the off-chance that she does exist. But Texas Rangers have already been to Colorado, where they found books and “items of interest” in Swinton’s apartment. The hotline call has been traced and appears to come from Swinton. On the other hand, there is evidence of prolonged and ritualized sexual abuse on the Yearning For Zion compound, even down to a marital bed in the temple itself and many minor children who are pregnant or have had babies by much older relatives. Rozita Swinton may be a nutball. She may also have saved over 400 lives.

Heroine or criminal or both, Swinton remains under investigation by multiple agencies today. She is charged with false reporting in Colorado and may be facing probation violation charges and other charges as well. I don’t know what I think about this one - what do you think?

One way, no plan B.

Let me ask you a question or two:

How do you believe people are saved?

Who is Christ?

You seem not to want to answer why other peoples plan “A” is less then your plan “A”.

They also study the same Bible as you do and find many different answers.

What is wrong with their plans “A”.? People want me to leave The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is wrong by their thinking. Yet noone will tell me which of the other Christian Churches is the correct Christian Church.

You saw what I believe, that should answer your question.
One way, I stated so in my belief statement.

My desire is that none parish, my heart follows God in this. That is my desire for you and yours also.

Again it is not my way but God's way.

Tell me what you want me to say. I have answered all your questions, whether you chose to see the answers or not.

Tell me what you believe, not web site cut and paste “faith statements” what is in your heart - your core. Not your “testimony” what is in your heart.

Again, I state it is not my way it is God's way.
I am sorry if you are not able at this point in time to understand what I have said and what I believe. I grieve for you.
I am however not going to continue this discussion because for whatever reason and I believe it to be purposeful you have decided not to read/understand my answers to your questions, so may understanding find you soon.

WELL DUH!
How can you be so dense. Of course people not acting in God’s will are wrong.
There is only one way to salvation.
You still have not answered svcw’s question: who is Christ?

The question that has not been answered is:

Man has studied the Bible and has come up with different ways to be saved. Which of the choices to be saved is right way, and why is it the right way? Remember, this question started back when I was told my religion is wrong. Now, if as I have been told, my religion is wrong, which religion is right. Lets start with how we are saved, and why it is the correct way.

I'm Catholic. We do not have such exceptions under Church law.

That may be but anyone with half a brain knows that means nothing.

Catholics abort like anybody else....sadly.

Mormons do not.

Don't believe me, compare abortion stats of Utah versus large Catholic states.

Most Catholics I know just praise the Pope and little else on cultural morality matters even though they are taught well. As a faith they are less adherent to conservative social issues than Mormons and probably even Southern Baptists or Texas-Tennesse Church of Christ, or Anglican Rites types, or Missouri Synod or any Charismatic.

I wish Catholics truly did follow their creed like Mormons do. Given your numbers, there would be no abortion. Your Popes usually mean well and steer a good course on infanticide but then how come so many Catholics vote Democrat? Almost half in 2004 but even more than that in prior elections.

Mormons and the faiths I mentioned above never even get close to voting Democrat....at least not since Jimmah.

If you could answer the question: who is Christ? You would in fact know the answer.
You can not or are unwilling to see the answer to the question you seek.
You can not or are unwilling to answer the question based even on your own understanding.
You are always saying “I studied and prayed” but to what question. Seek the answer to: who is Christ? The answer is evident.

Why is everyone willing to tell me my Church is wrong, but non of you are willing to pin yourself down to one way of worship.

There is only one God, so there should only be one way of worshiping Him.

Remember, we are not looking for my way of worship (you folks have already told me it is wrong) We are trying to find out which of the different ways of worshiping is the right way.

There are still too many ways to do it, and all from the same set of scriptures.

You need to stop changing the question. You first started taking about Salvation.
There is one way and one way only to Salvation.
Worship on the other hand takes many forms. King David took his clothes off and danced in the street (I don't worship like that), tithing is worship, offerings are worship, helping the poor is worship, singing, praising....
You get the point ......
Worship many forms - Salvation one way (God's way).
It has become apparent you are not interested in “answers” but are waiting for someone you are falsely challenging to slip up so you can respond - ah ha you don't know anything - my church is the true church.
If you wish to engage in a real conversation I am wiling to do that but I have not seen that in you.
When you change your mind send me another post other wise we are done.

You need to stop sidestepping the question.

Many churches see salvation done in different ways.

Which of the churches has the right way of being saved.

I am interested in the answer to the question I ask, not the replies that do not answer MY question, like your responses do not answer my question.

Which way of being saved is the right way, and what church has it?

In a real conversation I would not have to ask the same question over and over. It would be answered.

There is only one way to being saved, but many ways of being saved art taught by different Christians.

Which teachings on how we are saved the right teaching, and what church is it found in?

No you haven't.
I have not seen my question answered.

Only standard, wimpy answers of those who say my religion is wrong, but will not say which of the ways of being saved that is taught by different Christian religions is the right way, and where to find it.

Salvation is too important to be left to answers to a question not asked.

“Only one way, God's way “ has no definite meaning. It can mean anything. It is like you are saying anything will do, as long as it is called God's way.

If you are happy with your answer, you do not care to be understood.
