Gore Ducks, as a Backlash Builds Against Biofuels

The campaign against climate change could be set back by the global food crisis, as foreign populations turn against measures to use foodstuffs as substitutes for fossil fuels.

With prices for rice, wheat, and corn soaring, food-related unrest has broken out in places such as Haiti, Indonesia, and Afghanistan. Several countries have blocked the export of grain

Mr. Gore was not available for an interview yesterday on the food crisis, according to his spokeswoman. A spokesman for Mr. Gore’s public campaign to address climate change, the Alliance for Climate Protection, declined to comment for this article.

Global Warming Alarmism is already responsible for deaths in Haiti and could soon be responsible for starving millions of poor people around the world. Al Gore and his zealots are not even man enough to comment. He is hiding from the press because he knows he screwed up big. The gig is up Al, you have been exposed.

To the extent that GWB signed on to that agenda, it is. He could’a nipped it.

If people are starving to death, global warming is no longer a problem. Algore needs to fess up.

I am reminded of the Hippy Dippy Weatherman:
“The radar is also picking up a squadron of Russian ICBMs; so I wouldn’t sweat the thundershowers.”

Exactly --including a host of other GOP types

You think these Gaia-worshippers would prefer to see those hungry people survive? While that would be my choice or yours, some of these loons would probably consider the mass starvation of humans to be a “cleansing”.

Pity. I was outlining a sci-fi story to send into one of the anthology magazine where a colony switches to biofuels because food is plentiful but they start to starve ...

It was obvious that this would happen, but it happened to soon to sell it now as science fiction.

Oh, well.

Can we get back to putting food on my table and not in my car?

I wrote this more than a year ago. The comments to my essay provide an excellent view into the mindset and motives of the Anthpogenic Global Warming zealots.

1) Build more nuke plants, enough to supply at least 80% of our power needs

2) Eliminate restrictions on recycling nuke fuel rods

3) Use coal-to-gasoline to eliminate dependence on foreign oil

Quite frankly, you'd better hope that's the reason. Call me a cynic, but I suspect it's more a case of "Quils mangeut de la brioche" ("Let them eat cake.")

Haiti, 03-06-08 — While millions of Haitians go hungry, containers full of food are stacking up in the nation's ports because of government red tape—leaving tons of beans, rice and other staples to rot under a sweltering sun or be devoured by vermin.

I heard a report about this yesterday and it made me wonder if this is a crisis due to price manipulation by those who stand to make fortunes in the market. Stores in my little corner of West Texas are suddenly limiting the purchase of rice. This all just doesn’t pass the smell test for me.

I wouldn't put it past these people. Remember, the left is the group that pushes abortion in inner city ghettos, wants to take chlorine out of drinking water, causing cholera deaths, banned DDT, resulting in millions of malaria deaths in Africa, etc. I'm beginning to wonder if this is their answer to a world they see as overpopulated.

They have actually stated that there needs to be fewer people in order to save the planet.
