Hey, I'm not stupid or naive. She must have downloaded something for them to get her name and accuse her. Had she gone down to the record store with cash or got on line with Amazon, like I do, poof, no problems. To me, she probably stole but got away with it. Have you ever heard the term, “there is no free lunch?”

Do you even know that an ip address can be spoofed? That young punks who are the real culprits (I teach many of them) often run various software tools that find unsuspecting Kazaa users, for example, to finger their crime onto?

You say you’re not stupid and I’d agree, but you may perhaps be naive if you think that the RIAA’s method of finding those “guilty” isn’t just bad science and legally shameful.
