There is one piece of information that we do know however:
State Rep. Harvey Hilderbran, R-Kerrville whose district includes Eldorado, speculated that law enforcement and CPS probably had a loose plan in place. Hilderbran remembers talking to CPS officials about the ranch in 2005, when he worked to pass a bill targeted at the sect that raised the legal marriage age with parental consent from 14 to 16. The bill passed.
Did Texas go too far in polygamy case?
The targeting of this sect goes back years. This was a planned, premeditated event. It was planned for and the spurious phone call was all that was necessary as a pretext to set it into operation.
This wasn't some random happening.
1. Legalization of polygamy.
2. Over a billion dollars in law suite settlements paid for by the tax payers of Texas.
It may take 30 years to resolve completely.

Sadly because they were just watching and not taking actions, many more children were abused. Sad the state did not take action sooner. Although I am proud of the state for taking the action now.
