FOX News Poll: Obama’s Favorable Rating Drops
FOXNews ^ | April 30, 2008 | Dana Blanton

Posted on 04/30/2008 11:41:12 AM PDT by kingattax

Nearly half of Democrats (48 percent) think Hillary Clinton has a better chance of beating John McCain in November — 10 percentage points higher than the 38 percent who think Barack Obama can win, according to a FOX News poll released Wednesday. This represents a significant shift from March, when Democrats said Obama was the candidate more likely to beat McCain.

Democrats continue to favor Clinton as their party’s leader, albeit narrowly: 44 percent want her to win the nomination and 41 percent want Obama. Last month Clinton was preferred by 2 percentage points.

Further, for the second month in a row Clinton does slightly better than Obama in head-to-head matchups against the Republican senator. Clinton tops McCain by just 1 point (45 percent to 44 percent), down from a 3-point advantage last month. McCain edges Obama by a narrow 3-point margin (46 percent to 43 percent), up from a 1-point lead.

The leader in these matchups has shifted back and forth. In the last year, the biggest spread between Clinton and McCain was September 2007 when Clinton led him by 7 points. Obama held a 10-point lead over McCain last July.

Nearly a third of Clinton supporters — 32 percent — say they would vote for McCain instead of Obama (47 percent) if the general election were held today. Fewer Obama supporters — 21 percent — would defect and vote for McCain over Clinton if she were the nominee.

A Democratic ticket with Obama as the presidential nominee and Clinton as his running mate receives 47 percent to 41 percent for a Republican ticket of McCain and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as his vice president.

I believe they are going to take a bigger dip yet. The Wright thing is not over, no matter what Obama who is Hussein or the MSM think..

A source close to the Wright ministry is also talking. Here's what that source said in the New York Post today:

The source noted that the roots of Wright's disillusionment with Obama began last year after the Illinois senator unexpectedly yanked him from participating in the public announcement of his presidential campaign.

"That's why Jeremiah revealed . . . that he had actually been at the [announcement] hotel and prayed privately with the Obama family before the official declaration," the source told The Post.

"Rev. Wright, as well as other senior members of his church, believe that Obama has betrayed over 20 years of their supposed friendship."

Obama further angered Wright by trying to distance himself from the pastor ever since videos were made public earlier this year of the preacher alleging that America brought 9/11 upon itself and that people should say "God damn America," not "God bless America."

The source added, "After 20 years of loving Barack like he is one of their own, after he was embraced by this congregation as a brother in Christ, after his pastor was a father figure to him and gave him credibility in a city he had not grown up in and in a black community that was suspect of someone from Hawaii and Harvard, he thanks him by not allowing him to speak publicly at his announcement last year?

"A lot of people in the church believe they were there for this man when no one else was, and a lot of people don't believe it any more when Obama claims he loves the man who did so much for him," the source added.
Lots of chickens...coming home to roost.

Not the least of which is Obama's character (because Wright is saying that Obama did know about exactly who Wright was)...and his judgement in this whole matter and in the matter of Ayers, Rezko, etc.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND OBAMA'S CHURCH

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - OBAMA'S CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND SUPPORT

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

Hillary Clinton doesn’t have a hope in hell of beating McAmnesty. All anyone has to do is think about all the news conferences over the next four years conducted by the witch. If she won’t be talking down to you like a child she will be screaming at you!....

You can bet the HRC team is going to push this story with everything they got. BHO is being dragged down a little too quickly for me. HRC takes the nomination and the election.

Hmmm... I’m conflicted.

Obama would probably lose the general by a landslide, but the dhimmirat party would survive.

Hillary could beat McCain, but if she didn’t due to the “dissin’french-fries” black voting block staying home, we could be looking at the end of the dhimmirats as a party.

This is good news and here is why. Democrat voters are starting to see through the very shallow Obama and switch to Hillary while the MSM will still stick by Barak and thus we have Operation Chaos still going strong. All McLame has to do is sit back a try not to insult the conservative base any more than he already has, while the Dems eat their own babies.

BHO is being dragged down a little too quickly for me.That's why, despite Operation Chaos, I voted for Hussein Obama in my state (he won). I said at the time - well before the Jeremiah Wright issue - that I thought Obama was the easier of the two marks. I honestly do think both can be beat, although we would still be stuck with McCain, but, again, it seems to me that Obama has the glass jaw here. I only hope that he stay standing long enough to make the nomination. The 527s are going to have a field day with this guy.

This "source" should instead notice that the public has now discovered that this "Black Church" is absolutely nothing like the joyful gospel churches we have seen in film and TV spots. This "church" is instead filled with the kind of rabid, racist bigots that most of us thought disappeared with our grandfather's generation...only black.

The use of the phrase "loving Barack like he is one of their own" just displays that this "church" doesn't love those outside of itself, that it does NOT view all Christians as brothers (as Jesus taught!) And clearly, those that follow Barak and Wright don't understand that the rest of the world has moved on from slavery, from Jim Crow, from the kind of hatred that poisons you into being a Lefty conspiracy loon.

Like MLK, Jr. I don't care about a man's skin color; I care about what is in his heart, and the Fruits of the Spirit he shows from his developing walk with God. Love your wife and kids, work hard, keep your lawn clean; these things I respect in any man. But I don't respect the kind of man who assumes, with having never met me, that because my skin is a certain color, I hate him. (And even more that because I detest the lies and hatred that comes unrighteously from his mouth, that I "hate his church.")

I can't help but pray that now that the rock has been turned over and we have seen the filth underneath it that America soundly rejects this faux-preacher and his candidate. It is sad...so many well-intentioned people, including myself, would love to vote for the right black man for President, and now that we can't, people like Wright will just spin themselves a new house and another Cadillac on the lie that "racist America wants to keep the black man down!"

IMHO I think McLame is scared to death he might win , and is doing everything right so he doesn’t win.

There are going to be a lot of Hillary hangovers come Inauguration Day. This diabolical, woman will be the next Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces. That thought sickens me. Not worth the risk. BHO is weak enough for McCain to beat. If she gets the nomination, there will be no stopping her and her evil team. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

A Democratic ticket with Obama as the presidential nominee and Clinton as his running mate

Only a suicidal fool would have Comrade Clinton in a position where his life is the only thing between her and her goal.

B. Hussein Obama is a Marxist fool, but I doubt he's also suicidal.

I'm so relieved the light has been shone on this rancid hijacking of the Christian faith, that I want to buy a bigger light bulb. It's time people of churches everywhere understand the one true faith. It's time the UCC policed it's pastors, stopped “experimenting” with the protestant catechism and put its collective foot down on the wolves in sheep's clothing who are making congregants believe they are isolated, unloved and unworthy, as well as hated by those outside their circle. It's time to get a very, very large light bulb and “Shine On”.
