Us regular folk still have to drive to work regardless of the price.
The better indicator is what discretionary spending is doing. Because those of us with no choice except to drive have made the cut in discretionary spending. If you think you can run an economy with a large percentage of us cutting discretionary spending back to almost nothing, good luck.
