I agree with you—however, there are a lot of idolaters who are not homosexual. And the good news of Jesus is for everyone.
I would argue that Paul in Romans 1 is speaking about the acceptance of homosexual behavior in society, which comes about through idolatry—which is a failure to worship God and obey His word. I don’t think he’s saying that individuals tempted by homosexual thoughts are somehow more idolatrous than everyone else...
Most have had bad experiences in their lives—and have listened to the popular lie that homosexual behavior is just fine and dandy—so they let their destructive feelings grow unchecked. I believe the idea that homosexuals are far worse sinners than everyone else though is wrong, and tends to chase folks tempted in that area, out of the church, into the activists arms...
Jesus saves sinners, but, He doesn’t leave them that way.
As Romans 6:23 indicates, the wages of unrepentant sin is death, spiritual death.
Yes, that is true, Therefore, if any man (or woman) be in Christ, He (or she) is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Back when they identified themselves as
“sexual preferences” one of my sons said, “If it is a peference, why ddon’t they make a better choice?”
As I see in Romans “God gave them up unto these thing “ because they refuse to receive God’s provision for their choices.
