As examples of America's declining standing in the world the "Newsweek" editor cited such facts as China now having the "Largest ferris wheel in the world," Minneapolis' "Mall of America" no longer being the largest in the world and Macau having surpassed Las Vegas in the size of their casinos.

I must’ve missed where Newsweek admitted that American Exceptionalism ever existed.

Casinos and ferris wheels.

These are the true barometers of social, cultural, and economic success, aren’t they?

Newsweek (and their two-bit hacks) wouldn’t know what exceptionalism is.

If in fact he’s right and we are a nation in decline, it’s because so many leftists have been deliberately trying to engineer that decline for decades now.

We should all hang our heads in shame that America is no longer home to the World’s Largest Ferris Wheel. Pack it up folks, the party is over...

Do we still have the world’s largest ball of twine?

If not, I’ll know we’ve jumped the shark and make arrangements to move to the Central African Republic, where they are REALLY leapfrogging our technologies.

"They have contributed and are elated."

It’s all based on who has the biggest ferris wheel. I think everyone knows that. We lost. Our wheel is too small, and our time in the sun is now over.

Just like a Newsweak editor to think that American “exceptionalism” is based upon having the largest ferris wheel or the largest mall..... people like Zakaria do not even begin to grasp what is special and, yes, still “exceptional” about America. Hint..... China’s 1.3 billion people and their depraved commie-fascist one-party rule has not even begun to grasp how far they have to go in all that really counts, no matter how many $10 fans they churn out for WalMart.

And in other news Nietzcshe says Newsweek is dead. I quit reading Newsweak long ago. Why would any intelligent person read it?
