Foreign Direct Investment is good for everyone except those who believe we should build a fence around the country and not kiss with our mouths open for fear of getting pregnant.

Just wait until some Saudi investor offers a few hundred million to Bob Evans but then insists it follows Sharia law.

I live in Ohio. The taxes and regulations make running a business here simply untennable. Moving as soon as practical to Texas. And I'm not the only one. There is a real "brain drain" of entrepeneurs, businesses, educated people (esp. tech educated), etc. out of the state. Even Honda, a HUGE employer north of Columbus, decided to put their latest mfg facility just over the border in Indiana instead of in Ohio because of the taxes and other BS associated with running a biz in Ohio.

To be fair, Gov. Strickland (D) is FAR better than Gov. Taft Taxt ever was. But that really isn't saying a lot.

PS Buckeye fan forever, but frankly, Ohio State is the only gov't institution in Ohio that is worth anything. We are becoming Michigan (the Detroit parts), and Columbus under Mayor Coleman (D) is leading the way.

It seems to me that direct action is the only means left to preserve the republic. That direct action is to find one or two small, susceptible states that may be 30-45% in line with conservative ideals (pro-life, low taxes, limited government, to name three). Then we must all pull up stakes and move in. We will have the opportunity to start anew. Imagine, schools without PC; refusing government aid of any sort, the ACLU would be out, etc. Maybe a little Pollyannish, but we don't know until we try. It will require all to make sacrifices; but in the end, we will all be better off.
