I think that such activities have been an historical norm in warfare.

How many millions were killed by the Communists in North Korea?

Is there a word that means “what incredible crap”? I can’t think of it right now.

That is a prohibited question! You are to report to a re-education camp immediately.

"North Korean invaders seized Seoul, the southern capital, in late June 1950 and freed thousands of prisoners, who rallied to the northern cause."

I see, they rallied to the Northern cause but they were all innocents with no communist leanings.

This is a left wing commission which prospered under the now discredited socialist regime. This is just blowback by the press trying to discredit the new conservative government, and to portray our allies as evil, even dating back to the 1950’s.

Surely no one believes anything published by AP,NY Rag, or any other major print publication. Sort of like watching CNN or the Communist News Network.

I’m not buying that the US supported this, which was so inelegantly expressed in the very first sentence.

I’ve met and talked to people who lived through the war. The entire country was devastated in WWII by the Japanese and then the Korean war destroyed what was left. People were eating tree bark to stay alive and they were supposed to hold a trial?

I smell a rat. A commie pinko liberal leftie rat. Hundreds of thousands of dead people kept secret for over 50 years...yea, sure. They didn't have the Democratic Congress to seal the documents for over 50 years over there either.

I am sorry to hear of the treatment of your friends.

What sickens me is how the democrat scumbags at AP and Reuters expect me to shed a tear over dead Communists.

The Communists brought death and destruction to South Korea, and it was totally unprovoked.

If anything, they learned the hard way that mankind is not meant to be governed by the Communists.

We all have an intrinsic yearning for freedom, and the human spirit is absolutely incompatible with Communism.

I believe it could have happened. The Koreans didn’t put up with any crap. They couldn’t afford to and survive. A 1000 fewer communists to kill your children was considered a good thing.

They didn’t have the time or resources to build a Guantanamo Bay or anything else.

“I am sorry to hear of the treatment of your friends.”

tough old coots is what they were. Loved Americans.

“The Communists brought death and destruction to South Korea, and it was totally unprovoked.”

They did that pretty much everyplace they ever went. Amazing to think we are to believe that Socialists or Communists give a rats behind about a few thousand dead people.

Oh, yes, the first order of business when everyone was fleeing to the Pusan Perimeter was to hold trials and stop to execute truckloads of Communists (/sarc).

More than likely any "mass grave" found in South Korea north of the Pusan Perimeter is filled with the bodies of Christians slain by Northern Communist troops and collaborators.

AP has now gone over the line.

Guy next door was a young child at the time living just about as far North in North Korea that you could live. When the so-called "Nationalists" attacked the South he and his older brother trekked all the way to Pusan ~ the younger brother on the older brothers back most of the way ~ barefoot, without money, no one to watch out for them.

Even children knew which way to go in that war.

His daughter went as a missionary to Mongolia. She helped found the first Christian church to ever be officially recognized/permitted by the government of that ancient land.

My dad was in Korea at that time with the 1st Marine Div.
He saw and delt with the atrocities of the North Koreans and Red Chinese but guess that doesn’t count
