Columbus Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart said Saturday that the party's presumed presidential nominee has a lot in common with Jesus Christ.
"John McCain is kind of like Jesus Christ on the cross," Everhart said as she began the second day of the state GOP convention. "He never denounced God, either."
Everhart was praising McCain for never denouncing the United States while he was being tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
"I'm not trying to compare John McCain to Jesus Christ, I'm looking at the pain that was there," she said.
Ya think?
Ignorance gone to seed.
I only worship one person and it isn’t John McCain.
Sounds like Sue is more like Monica than anything else.
You would think the reporter would at least say whether she said this during an interview or at a public event or what the circumstances were and thereby give the reader a bit more context.
I guess that means we now have dueling Messiahs.
It also didn’t work so well when John Lennon said something to the effect that The Beatles were becoming more popular than Jesus or something like that......
No, you’d think people would figure out that no one should be compared at all favorably to Jesus Christ, it just doesn’t make sense to put any contemporary mortal in the same sentence!!
Expect outrage from the cult of Obama. There can be only one “Messiah” and that is OBAMA!!!!!!!
:-) (nudge nudge wink wink)
More like Judas, if you ask me.
THIS JUST IN:
Some people actually consult with advisors on important, sensitive matters, before they make a public statement...
"I have Obama and McCain. Which do you want me to make free for you?" The people answered, "Obama!" Everhart asked, "So what should I do with McCain, the one called the Christ?" All the people answered, "Kill him on a cross!"
Then Everhart said, "I am not guilty of this man's death. You are the ones that are doing it!" All the conservatives answered, "We will be responsible for his death. We accept for ourselves and for our children any punishment for his death."
OHHHHhh my goodness....
sigh
I understand that GOP is the “Stupid Party” and she is just trying to climb her way to the top of the “stupid” pile, but... sheesh!
Well, he is kind of like Jesus Gomez. They both hold similar views on illegal aliens.
