LeGrande is making an extremely tenuous legalistic argument that Joe Smith was a serial adulterer, just not a polygamist. Given that Smith gave sermons and was the rootsource of the polygamy doctrine as well as a philanderer, this would be similar in form to arguing Hitler was not a mas murderer because no one ever saw him gassing a Jew.

If you would have made the analogy of Marx to communism I would have agreed. The Hitler anology primarily fails because it was the use of the State and Law that caused the Jews to be gassed.

This is a very important point, because running dog is advocating using the very same principles that the Nazi's used against the Jews, and hundreds of thousands of other undesirables, against the FLDS. The technique is identical, vilify and then deny their fundamental rights. After that is accomplished, the State has total control and can do anything it pleases.

There are no “fundamental rights” for pederasts and poygamists or wife burners in this country. Whatever their religion might allow.

But some strange folks around here this there are. Show where it says in the US Constitution that men can legally marry multiple wives and father kids with underage minors. Show where Jefferson or Washington or Scalia says they can.

Yikes, yikes, yikes. So now I am Hitler as well. Who has advocated denying the FLDS ANY Constitutional rights? There are lawyers and appeals courts swarming all over the Texas situation. And heck yes I am going to speak out against bizarre practices that injur children - but please LeGrande, provide a post of mine where I “vilify” the run of the mill FLDS member, I just think they are sooo sad (even Jeffs is pathetic).

So, there ya go again. Imply I’m Hitler, then provide absolutely zero proof of your allegation that I vilify the FLDS, much less want them exterminated or even deprived of Constitutional rights. They should however be held to account for the laws they have broken and the harm they are causing.
