Maybe if it was spelled Brock O’Bamagh.

True. It's been done before. He could have invented a fictional Irish grandfather from several generations ago. It would give a whole new meaning to "Black Irish."

But sure, seriously, many Jewish immigrants and those from Eastern and Southern Europe "re-ethnicized " their surnames at Ellis island.
