I have to say that the idea of deciding on citizenship by having secret votes in EACH case in every local community is insane at least. The People's Party may have some conservative merits, but this proposal was asinine.

What an unusual proposal. Individual votes on every citizenship application? Do they have nothing to do in Switzerland but hold referenda? (And can I be a poll worker, if there’s free chocolate?)
