"Lincoln's voice was, when he first began speaking, shrill, squeaking, piping, unpleasant; his general look, his form, his pose, the color of his flesh, wrinkled and dry, his sensitiveness, and his momentary diffidence, everything seemed to be against him" -- William Henry Herndon, law partner and biographer of Abraham Lincoln

And your point is?

That, for somebody like you, a charismatic voice matters more than what the voice is saying?

First of all, I doubt that 150-200 years from now anybody will be quoting from a speech that McCain makes.

Secondly, I know that he wasn't speaking at a town hall meeting. He was just speaking like most of the current politicians, from the text that somebody else wrote. Even some of the "ad libs" are pre-made. But his delivery will not let his "message" get across to the idiots on the democrat side that want a reason not to vote for Obamalamadingdong. THAT is my point.

Thirdly, the crack about "a charismatic voice matters more than what the voice is saying?" Not really. Winston Churchill had a slobbery voice that sometimes bordered on mumbling, but I thought his words and message was inspiring. McCain..... not so much.... Obamalamadingdong.... bubble gum for the ears.

If there are any Obama supporters, can you explain what he means by "Hard diplomacy".... as opposed to what we're doing now?

Finally, I think that McCain will probably win but only because the other choice is liberal democrat as opposed to our guy who is a moderate democrat.

Either way, we're screwed.

Maybe not, but they may be talking about how America surrendered the Persian Gulf region with 70% of the World's known oil reserves to the Iranian Islamist Mullahs that were actively seeking nuclear weapons and delivery systems because Copperheads like you hated McCain more than they cared about the future safety of America.

The Surge strategy that McCain championed back in 2006 when even Rumsfeld and Bush opposed it is now winning the war.

Barack has promised to lose the war.

And what is Dick Vomer doing now that the primaries are over?

Helping Barack Obama become the next Commander-in-Chief.
