In 2002, Vice President Cheney puit together a good energy bill. Obviously, it wasn’t perfect but it was a start at making ourselves more energy independant. But, Congress rejoiced in defeating that bill. Now, the American people are going to pay the price for Congress’ incestual relationship with the Environmental Lobby.

One more thing, if $150.00 per barrel oil isn’t enough for the Congress to authorize more drilling then I wonder what price it will take to get their attention...and then, at that point, how bad will our economy be?

Somebody was complaining the other day that Cheney hadn't done anything during Pres. Bush's term. I just shook my head.

The most malevolent of whom sit on the boards of directors of the various energy companies.

If I ever meet up with a person who claims to be an environmentalist, I might just punch them in the face.

Nations should fight rising oil prices by cutting subsidies and vastly increasing investment in energy, while oil-producing countries need to ramp up output and divulge more information about how much they produce, the U.S. energy secretary said Saturday.

He should include the US in the phrase “oil-producing countries”, but of course that would raise questions. Such as, why is there a moratorium for 200 miles offshore the US, prohibiting oil and gas exploration? Why aren’t we getting the most energy possible out of Alaska? Why aren’t we getting the most energy possible out of Colorado, Utah, Nevada? Why haven’t we been building nuclear power plants? BECAUSE our Congressmorons have blocked exploration in the US, making us more dependent on foreign oil. And it isn’t just the DemoSocialists. Republicans are also blocking full use of our natural resources. They have names, such as Collins (R-ME), Snowe (R-ME), Martinez (R-FL). And they wonder why I trash all mail from the RNC.

The Dems are waiting until the fall, when the crunch is on full bore, and then will claim opening the OCS and ANWR is their idea, so they can claim credit for any speculative price drop in order to grab more votes.

I am not sure that there are enough people paying attention to keep them from pulling that off.

The worse it gets, the more they can seem to be our saviours, which ties in nicely with their whole election theme this year.
