They want easy money but they don't want to be slaves. Most don't fully realize they are taking money from the rest of us. Idiots? Maybe...likely people who don't have a grasp of how the “system” works and are looking out for their families.

I disagree with calling them idiots. For many generations the backwoods people of WV worked for primarily “Republican” coal mine owners who disregarded safety and working conditions. As a result, these people became hard core Dems and unionists. Much of that has changed now, but since GOP was synonymous with “coal boss” for so long, there is still a lot of distrust. For Obama to override that distrust shows how extreme he is.
