Ignorance can't be found in cities? Ha! I beg to differ. This man's ref to becoming slaves is not far off the mark if ANY of the present candidates become Pres. Frankly, I call loss of freedoms, excessive taxes, and global courts to try Americans, slavery.

The man was not asked what he meant.I believe he may have meant Obama would give whites what he considers their due for ever owning slaves here. From some of Obama's quotes in his book "Dreams of My Father", that sounds likely.

As for the older man who said he would sit out because he could not vote for Obama and his father/grandfather would turn over in the grave if he voted Republican, is typical of many generational southern Dems. They just cannot get it into their minds that southern Repubs are about where southern Dems were in earlier generations

The Guardians posting of Obama's policies sounded pretty good---BUT IT IS JUST RHETORIC. He hasn't yet told us what the meaning of "is" is.

Not entirely. Southern Democrats, such as Al Gore, Sr. were supporters of Jim Crow. I imagine that's what this man is referring to. He's in a time warp.
