No problem.
I have voted in more than 40 years of elections. During the past decades I have found myself voting, not for a candidate I embrace and can enthusiastically support, but for the one who is the lessor of two evils. I find myself voting against the liberal candidate by voting for the Republican because no one is there to represent my beliefs. Fred Thompson was the first candidate since Reagan who talked my language. He was the first candidate to whom I could say - “oh, yeh!”
In the past California election where McLintock ran against Schwarzenegger, we were told to vote for Arnold because he would bring in the middle of the road Democratic votes. Well he has been a liberal disaster. We are now implementing sustainable communities and smart growth as part of the Governor’s green climate change initiative. The state is now implementing a purely socialistic watershed management program. http://www.conservation.ca.gov/dlrp/wp/Pages/Index.aspx with an appointed RHINO at the helm. It is replete with notions of “social equity,” “environmental justice,” “inclusiveness,” and “social justice.
That was the last election where I will not vote my true conscience, even if I have to write my candidate in.
I figure that a vote for McCain is a vote that encourages the Republican party in its march ever leftward. Give me a candidate that represents my values or I will go elsewhere.
He would have brought down the house.
My FRED’08 decal is still on display!!!
