Democrats to be fueled by beer power
The Chicago Tribune ^ | 06/14/08 | Mark Silva

Political conventions are known for a certain conviviality which often spills into the local watering holes when all the floor speeches are finished. But this is taking beer-power to a whole new level:

Our colleagues at The Stew report that the official General Motors vehicles at the Democratic National Convention - the ones shuttling delegates, candidates and the rest from place to place - will not only be running on flex-fuel, but also will get their ethanol from a uniquely Coloradan source: The Molson Coors Brewing Company.

What can ANYONE add to that headline: Democrats to be fueled by beer power?

To paraphrase Dr. Strangelove, "What we have here is a beer-fuel gap!" -Wm Tate, A Time Like This

All I can add is that it will be the biggest waste of beer in history.

Isn't Coors Beer a non-union shop? When I was a union firefighter, the monthly rag from the IAFF always listed Coors Beer on the “do not buy” list since they were non-union. Either Coors unionized, or someone at the DNC made a HUGH mistake! This could be SERIES. I am SHOKED!

Remember that the Demo HQ in DC was built with non-union labor.

This... this... this has gotta stop! Now!

It’s an OUTRAGE. Using beer, BEER to power vehicles?

[Pssst. It’s Coors.]

What? Coors? Not beer?

[Coors]

Never mind then. Go ahead.

Given the scientific fact that Archie Bunker used to note: “You don’t buy beer, you just rent it!”
Hopefully the libs will recycle their beer all over each other —

I find this out of step with the green fanatic Rat orientation. This means they are hypocritically promoting the carbonation of the planet.

As everyone knows, beer is a big source of carbon pollution. The fizz that is emitted is totally carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide emission allows sunlight to be trapped in the atmosphere and results in a warming of the planet.

By promoting beer, they are promoting atmospheric carbonation.

Yeah, if we were talking Sam Adams or Guinness, then I think we could start freaking out!

it would appear that my phone was not as gassed up as it needed to be. Maybe if I pour some beer on it??? lol No matter, we are going to a going away party for our friends who are moving to Japan in a few minutes. Phone is charging while we are out, will call you tonight.

I’m pretty sure our neighbor who couldn’t hold his beer last night is a dem (but not an Obama fan, as I’ve heard him complain about him). Maybe beer and dems don’t mix well? lol

(Poor Pete Coors. Not only did he lose a potential Senate seat, now he has Democrats wasting beer.)

Beer Ping!

A low to medium ping list aimed at all of us who, well, love our beer…

FReepmail rzeznikj at stout or GOP_Raider to be added or struck from the list…

I’m sorry. If I can’t have tobacco, BBQ and gasoline then libs can’t have beer, pot and tofu. Outlaw it all! Those little bastids are going to sit in the cold and dark with nothing to eat and nothing to do if they’re going to do that to me.
