Sarkozy: "Move Jews Out of Judea and Samaria"

(IsraelNN.com) French President Nicolas Sarkozy asked the Knesset on Monday to recognize that "France will always be Israel's friend" - and promptly called for the division of Jerusalem and for the expulsion of the Jews from Judea and Samaria.

Speaking in French from the Knesset podium at a special session held in his honor, Sarkozy said, "Israel will always be every Jewish person's sanctuary. It is the only place where Jews will always be safe." He also called on the Palestinians to stop terrorism against Israel.

Stop Construction, Deport Jews, Divide Jerusalem He emphasized, however, that there will never be peace in the Middle East until Israel stops building in Judea and Samaria, and said that the Knesset should pass a law to compensate and deport all the Jews currently living there.

Sarkozy further said that Jerusalem must be divided into two capitals, including one for a future Palestinian state.

The speech was the first by a French president in the Knesset since Francois Mitterrand addressed the plenum in 1982.

Responses

In response, Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik warned that terror has no boundaries, and that both Iranian nuclear power and Islamist terrorism "will reach Paris after Jerusalem and Tel Aviv."

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in his greetings to the French president, said, "We thank you for your courage, for your principles and for your friendship. On behalf of the Israeli people and the State of Israel, I salute you… Israel is now hoping for just one more miracle – the miracle of peace. We believe it will come."

Opposition leader and Likud party chairman MK Binyamin Netanyahu said, in his address at the session, that Israel would never agree to cede the Golan Heights or divide Jerusalem. Calling Sarkozy a "true friend of Israel," Netanyahu said, nevertheless that "Jerusalem will never be divided, just as no person would ever think of dividing any European state. We will never return to the 1967 borders and we will never withdraw from the Golan Heights."

Arab MKs jeered the Likud lawmaker as he addressed the Knesset, forcing the Speaker to threaten the hecklers that she would expel them from the legislative chamber if they continued to interrupt the speech. "This is very unpleasant," she rebuked them.

Orlev: French President Needs Lessons in History, Geography

MK Zevulun Orlev, Chairman of the National Religious Party, said afterwards, "Sarkozy should stay here a bit longer in order to learn some history, namely, that Jerusalem never beloned to Islam, but only to the Jews. He should also take a geography lesson, and visit Sderot and the transient camps of the Gush Katif expellees before he proposes another [Jewish] expulsion and retreat to the 1967 borders."

"His friendship with Israel must be based on those two lessons," Orlev said.

MK Benny Elon (National Union) said he agrees that there should be two states, but with slight differences than Sarkozy's proposal: "One state should be Jordan, on the east bank of the Jordan River, and Israel on the west side. No other state should be established between them. If Sarkozy agrees with me about these borders, we'll be able to come to an agreement on the rest."

MK Ruby Rivlin (Likud) said, "Dividing Jerusalem into two entities will not bring peace, but will rather eternalize the conflict - and the settlements are not an obstacle to peace, but rather that which helped give the Jewish People a permanent presence in its land."

Sarkozy's Schedule

President Sarkozy visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial museum Monday morning, accompanied by President Shimon Peres. The distinguished visitor is also scheduled to meet with the parents of kidnapped IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit, who are French citizens, and with MK Netanyahu. Sarkozy will also meet with Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas before wrapping up his three-day visit on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Olmert's spokesman Mark Regev said that diplomatic talks between France and Israel will focus on Iran's nuclear program and on the newly-revived Israeli-Syrian peace talks. Olmert initiated resumption of indirect talks with Syria through Turkish mediators in Ankara several weeks ago. Arab media report that he allowed the issue of ceding the Golan Heights to be placed on the negotiating table.

On July 13, Sarkozy will host a conference in Paris where he hopes to bring together Prime Minister Olmert and Syrian President Bashar Assad.

I wanted to like this guy too.

He's now another member of the Quartet Surrender-for-"Peace" idiots and further invites the anger of the God of Israel by trying to divide Jerusalem.

Peace. The french definition of "Peace" comes with an abundance of white flags and total surrender.

Sarkozy further said that Jerusalem must be divided into two capitals, including one for a future Palestinian state.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy needs to consider dividing Paris
and turning over half of Paris to the Muslims who live there
for their capital.

This would be done in order to ensure peace in France.

Here is Steven Plaut’s answer to Sarkozy:

Yes, comrades, it is time to implement the Land for Peace Plan, Paris style. Here it is:

The French Solution: Land for Peace

So after leading the Solidarity-with-the-Baathists movement in Europe during the recent Gulf War, France now enjoys its own intifada by urban Moslem resistance fighters in suburban Paris! Of course, this is all on top of France’s long history of supporting Islamist fascism and Palestinian terrorism.

A few years back during a trip to Israel, French prime minister Lionel Jospin urged Israel to make concessions for peace. More interesting yet, in documents relating to his visit, Jerusalem was called the ‘’capital of the Palestinian Authority.’’ And what do the French consider to be the capital of Israel? Tel Aviv, of course. A few years later, French President Jacques Chirac used the occasion of his visit in 1996 to announce that ‘’Syria has a moral right to demand return of the Golan Heights.’’

These French politicians may be on to something important. Never one to back down from a challenge, I have prepared a set of proposals for consideration by the French people, so that they not only can preserve peace in Parisian suburbia, but also can achieve a full, lasting, and just peace with their urban resistance opponents.

First, until this plan is implemented in full, we must insist that the French government acknowledge that there is no military or police solution to the problems of violence in its suburbs and only through recognizing the legitimacy of the demands of the murderers and rioters outside Paris can the problems be resolved.

Second, we all agree that territory must not be annexed by force. Therefore, we can also agree that Germany has a moral right to demand the return of Alsace-Lorraine, for the French aggression in 1945 and its consequent occupation must not be rewarded. ‘’A full withdrawal for full peace’’ should operate here. Further, France must agree to the return and rehabilitation of all ethnic Germans expelled from Alsace-Lorraine after World Wars I and II, as well as all those they define as their descendents.

But this, of course, is just the first step toward a solution, as no aggression can be rewarded and France has much other stolen territory to return. It took Corsica from Genoa, Nice and Savoy from Piedmont; as the successor state, Italy must get back all these lands. By similar token, territories grabbed from the Habsburgs go back to Austria, including Franche-Comte, Artois, and historical Burgundy. The Roussillon area (along the Pyrenees) must be returned to Spain, its rightful owner. And Normandy, Anjou, Aquitaine, and Gascony must be returned to their rightful owners, the British royal family.

Not even this is enough for the sake of peace. Brittany and Languedoc must be granted autonomy at once, recognizing the Breton and Occitan Liberation organizations as their legal rulers. This leaves the French government in control over the Ile de France (the area around Paris).

That, however, still does not solve the problem of the Holy City of Paris, sacred to artists, gourmets, and adulterers. The Corsicans obviously have a historical claim to the Tomb of the Emperor Napoleon, their famed son, as well as the Invalides complex and beyond. For the sake of peace, is it not too much to ask that Paris be the capital for two peoples? The French authorities must agree to prevent French Parisians from even entering the sacred tomb area, lest this upset the Corsicans.

The Saint Chapelle and the Church of Notre Dame, of course, will be internationalized, under joint Vatican-art historical auspices. Indeed, the French should consider it a compliment of the highest order that so many people see Paris as an international city.

The French have nothing to complain about. They will enjoy the benefits of peace and retain control of the Champs Elysees.

Actually, come to think of it, even the Champs Elysees may be too much. Recalling the French position that Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel, perhaps the true French capital is not Paris at all, but Vichy.

Interesting to note:

Today in Jewish history (the 20th of Sivan)....

Martyrs of Blois (1171)

The 20th of Sivan is the anniversary of the first blood libel in France. On this date in 1171, tens of Jewish men and women were burned alive in the French town of Blois on the infamous accusation that Jews used to the blood of Christian children in the preparation of matzot for Passover.

::Sigh:: I voted for Bush twice. In his first term he truly was "the best friend Israel ever had in the White House." But the moment he was re-elected he developed a case of "legacy"-itis a-la Clinton.

My remark was to the effect that Sarkozy has done the same, without waiting for a re-election.

We know this "peace" will only last 42 months or so and most happen after a brief but violent war. The upcoming battle with Iran could be this war. Afterwards the Jews get their Temple, Palestine gets their state and we enter the 3.5 years of peace.

The Union of the Mediterranean and EU seem to fulfill the prophecy of the Beast with ten horns. It is a very exciting time to live in indeed.

Zec 12:2Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Zec 12:3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

We have three choices: We can believe God is real and meant these words when he said them, or we can believe that God is real but didn't mean these words, or we can believe God isn't real, so these words mean nothing.

I'd prefer we stay out of Israel's business when it comes to telling them what to do with their land.

Sarkozy said, "Israel will always be every Jewish person's sanctuary. It is the only place where Jews will always be safe."

This is idiotic on two fronts: first, the impliction that Jews should only expect to be safe in Israel - that anywhere else, well, who knows? You might have some mooselimbs running around, or maybe some other violently anti-Semitic group. Second, Jews aren't even safe in Israel because the French and many others around the world keep insisting that they leave themselves vulnerable to the camel-stinking hordes of Islamo-Fascists that surround their country.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy asked the Knesset on Monday to recognize that "France will always be Israel's friend"

When someone starts out like this, you just know BS is about to follow...

- and promptly called for the division of Jerusalem and for the expulsion of the Jews from Judea and Samaria.

...and there it was. I guess Europe now has to look Boris Johnson for any kind of salvation.

Sarkozy is a friend to Israel like McCain is a friend of Conservatives and Obama is a friend to the nation.

“Here friends, I have a great big knife for you.”

“Okay, now that you have your knives, please stab yourself in the heart. As soon as you do, I’ll fix everything.”

I’d like that as a bumper sticker. Is it possible to get one that would blink like that?:)

Sarkozy would be wise to stay out of Israel's business, but what does wisdom have to do with foolishness. The EU (revised Roman Empire)is getting more and more involved with the situation in Zion. And all the world will turn against Israel, but the Lord Himself will intervene on Her behalf!

P.S. I haven't forgotten when the French Ambassador to England called Israel a “sh_ _ _ _ little country” and Chirac let it go as if it didn't happen. The French are selling out to the Muslims to appease them, but they are only feeding the monster.
