“Incredibly, so determined was she that the terrible “mistake” of pregnancy should never happen again, that she begged the doctor who performed the abortion to sterilise her at the same time.”

>> Meet the women who won’t have babies - because they’re not eco-friendly

I’ve met an “eco-friendly” woman or two in my time — not a big loss.

Just another lemming jumping off Europe's demographic cliff.

The clock is ticking to Eurostan.

That’s exactly where this commie green mentality comes from -

the rejection of God’s gifts and commandments.

The earth/universe was created for US to use.

In the end she seems to be enjoying the freecom of not being tied down by a child more than any selfless goal of not bringing more life to the planet. If she was that selfless she could adopt a child—there are many who need homes and love.

Meanwhile, Jihadists are breeding like rabbits and they don't give a damn about your carbon footprint.

I wouldn't be opposed to people wanting a smaller population if we weren't at war. Not having children over something this stupid is tantamount to surrender.

If it was posted under a title other than the official title given by the publication, he broke the rules, not me.

Title search only works if the original poster follows the rules.

if more liberals thought like her, then in a generation or two, liberals would start to become an endangered species and eventually...poof...extinct

Combine this:

High fuel prices
High cafe standards causing smaller vehicles
(unnecessary*) requirement for car seats

My wife asks: what do they expect large families to do?
My answer: They expect you to NOT have large families.

*statistically, a car seat is statistically insignificant, safetywise, to the results of simply putting a child in the back seat.

Throughout history, those cultures that became decadent and rejected their traditional values

were taken over and destroyed by those cultures that did not.

Weird FR search engine strikes again! If you click on the link from 1rudeboy in post #6, you'll see that 3 other FReepers posted this article under the same exact headline back in November! I've had trouble with the search feature here before like this, plug in a title and get nothing back, then other FReepers point out it's already been posted!

Good point. If she wanted to help out someone less fortunate, they would adopt a child. That would be “intellectually honest” at least. I think they just don’t want children and are up on their high horse about global warming as some kind of half baked justification.

In our country, conservatives tend to have more children than liberals. The more liberal yuppie type people have the fewest kids.

And if they were totally intellectually honest, they would give up on sex, because that would be a true sacrifice for them.

>> Apparently this woman doesn’t believe in the law of God.

Have no fear, Captain Obvious to the rescue!

From the article — “Because when Toni terminated her pregnancy, she did so in the firm belief she was helping to save the planet.”

Generally speaking, those believe in God’s Law don’t intentionally terminate their gestating child ... much less because of selfish abstract concerns such as this nonsense.

My child-free status has nothing to do with the ecosystem.

It has everything to do with the fact that I don’t want to harbor anything that can - and will - throw its own poo.

It’s just a shame that their mothers didn’t have the idea first.
