Why is the certificate # blacked out?

African is not a race! In 1961, wouldn't Negro or Negroid have been used to describe his Father's race instead of African?

Where is the indentation of the official seal and the folded marks, the rest of us have on our valid birth certificate copies?

In fact, the revision of OHBM 1.1 (11/01 LASER) probably means that this copy was probably done on a laser printer. Did we have laser printers in 1961?

Last but not least: What are the reverse purple lettering past the last entry line on the lower middle right? What do they mean, and why are they there?

We probably have as much chance of seeing a real copy of his birth certificate as seeing John Kerry’s full military record. Kerry refused to release his military records, and Hussein ObamaMessiaHamas, the Islamofacist Manchurian Candidate will probably not show his BC. We will be labeled as racists for daring to question his birth.

I’ve covered all of the questions you raised regarding the image — but not the data entered (like his Father’s Race).

My focus has been on why the image that was shown on the Kos and Obama websites was graphically altered.

Other Freepers have addressed the data issues, and telltale marks like the reverse date.

Please bookmark my blog because I am going to settle this mystery once and for all in the next few days — I am waiting to receive a document from the Hawaii office of Vital Records that will shded light on the original document used to create the forgery/

According to the director of Vital Records, “Black” was the operative word used for race, and not “African,” “African” describes one’s nationality and not race or ethnicity.

The fact that lots of white Africans live in South Africa confirms it.

The altered text is more problematic because the only reasons someone would alter text is to hide the truth, or to create a false scenario.

It is akin to altering one’s college transcript in order to get into grad school,

Well, I did credit DeCosta for providing a copy against which I obtained more evidence for my analyses..see my post, “Now, let’s compare apples to apples.”

BUT, keep in mind that well before her certificate was posted. I demonstrated fairly succintly that the text on the Obama image had been graphically altered, and to my knowledge none before me had done an analysis on the graphical anomalies of the Obama certificate.

The anomalies regarding the information itself are another issue entirely, since even if the Obama certificate had exactly the same into as the original, and even if it had the reversed seal and signature block, the question remains as to why did someone modify the original text and borders with a graphics program.

Certainly NOT to enhance the text!

The ONLY reason that comes to mind is one of hiding the truth — that some bit of information on the original would be damaging if released to the public.

Scanned images are supposed to be WYSIWYG, but someone deliberately changed the “What you get” part for somethiong more than just on a whim.

this animated gif image goes back and forth between obama's birth certificate and a real birth certificate. note the missing seal, the blacked out certificate number and the differences along the edges of the seal. in order to show detail this is a high mg download.

this writer examines the writing in detail and shows why much of the writing on obama's birth certificate was photo shopped.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my e-mail and to respond to the lingering questions with your updated article.
However, I must say I was dismayed to see you made the same mistake that the Hawaii Heath Dept. official Janice Okubo made. I’m referring to this passage:

“When the official documents were questioned, we went looking for more answers. We circled back to the Department of Health, had a newsroom colleague bring in her own Hawaii birth certificate to see if it looks the same (it’s identical).”

The overwhelming key question is why does the state seal and registrar’s signature not show through from the back, when in a known genuine one they do? Okubo offers the suggestion that maybe the stamps weren’t pressed hard enough in Obama’s case, but that becomes dubious if in every known genuine one they do show through. So the VERY key question Okubo did not address and you did not address with your colleagues birth certification was: does the state seal and registrar’s signature show through in theirs?
That’s obviously an important question! And it wasn’t answered in either case! As Sherlock Holmes might say, I may be able to make certain logical deductions from the fact that it wasn’t addressed in either case.
One may surmise that both you and Ms. Okubo are supporting the idea that Obama’s is genuine. Then if it were the case that for the genuine ones the two of you looked at, the certifying seal and signature were NOT visible from the front, that fact would have been loudly trumpeted as supporting Obama’s case. The fact that there was no mention of it either way strongly leads us to conclude that also in your cases the state seal and signature DO show through!
Furthermore yet another genuine one has been posted on the net and it also shows the state seal and registrars signature do show through to the front. It’s posted here:

Now, since you say your colleague’s birth certification supports Obama’s case, it is incumbent on you to to show it really is identical in having the same borders and in having the certifying seal and signature not being visible from the front. Your colleague can obviously blank out all last names and the certificate number for privacy reasons if they want.
If you do not make available this claimed certificate that is supposed to support Obama’s case, that would only lead those us with questions to believe that again evidence that cast doubt on the validity of his is being suppressed.

There is stamp bleed through on the BHO alleged certificate. There is a date of June 6, 2007. Here is a cut of the bleed through, reversed and enlarged to make it readable. Several FReepers have noted the fact and done as I did, some even looking at the date in a mirror.

Notice the borders resemble the Patricia DeCosta genuine certification and don’t look like Obama’s. The state seal is also clearly visible but it should be said the registrar’s signature stamp is only barely visible even when you blow up the image.
Note also this one says “Date accepted by state registrar” like the Patricia DeCosta one and unlike Obama’s. It looks like this one is from 2008, so should have been very similar to Obama’s yet it is most like the known genuine DeCosta one and unlike Obama’s.
