I think the idea, Rush, is that he seems to (implicitly) claims a legacy in the tragic history of American blacks when he truly has none.

So never mind the blood, it’s the idea that counts?

I'm not sure I get that or the whole Rush bit.
I have been a little under the weather of late, however.

I'm going to have to restart my Rush subscription. My workplace frowns on radio streams and I let it lapse.
That exchange would have been hilarious to hear live.
To: Ooh-Ah
I heard this today and was laughing so hard, the guy in the car next to me thought I had lost my mind.

It's the question of "slave blood", which has been "injected" into the rhetoric by certain sources, not to be criticized. As rhetoric, it's outrageous. Taken seriously as a concept, it's frightening.
The Rush bit was mocking the concept, perhaps more daringly than brilliantly, but it certainly shows perspicacity to attack the concept in this way.

RUSH: Had no idea. And the Irish blood?SNERDLEY: Oh, yes! It's a little bit more red at the top.
I usually listen on wireless headsets. When I laugh out loud at work, some folks think I'm nuts.

The cruel ironic fact is that every American with slave blood also has slave holder blood. Reparations would go to the descendants of slavers.

Have SNERDLEY and RUSH been working together since Rush first went on the air some 20 years ago?

I can download the podcasts before the day is done, granted it won’t be live and thats my slip. I used to use WLAC or WABC. If I was a tad late WBAP, after that then it was KRMG. Downloading is still acceptable. Streaming is their nemises now at work.

I believe this Mr. Snerdley #3.
To: DManA
every American with slave blood also has slave holder blood.Probably not every one, but almost certainly a majority of American blacks are descended from slaveowners.
I always thought it would have been funny if Alex Haley's Roots had traced his ancestry back to Lincolnshire. He could have gone into the local pub seeking distant relatives.
But nobody else seemed to agree.
