I believe Bo (James Golden) is the original. He use to have his own talk show in NYC and I think did some things with Free Republic at one time. He left Rush for ? time but has been back for quite a while.

He might be the original but about a year ago Rush was asked this question and If I recall correctly, he called him #3. Maybe being protective, I don’t know.

Many Thanks for the information.

In 1989 my son said " Dad I have been listening to this guy named Rush for about six months.

He sounds just like you!"

Of course I had to tune into Rush.

Almost twenty years ago, time flies when you are having fun.

I listened since to both the original NYC only show and the national show in 1988 ( two two hour segments).

The first was the beautiful and gracious Melba Snerdley, her brothers Marvin and Mervin replaced her briefly after she left, there was a Chin-Yang Snerdley for a while, and then Bo Snerdley, who came opn during Bo Jackson’s heyday. I don’t recall any other Snerdleys, but I wouldn’t rule it out, they are a prolific clan. James Golden is just a radio name that Bo uses when he is not working for Rush.
