Zimbabwe's last white farmer forced to quit
Telegraph News ^ | 6/26/08

Posted on 06/28/2008 9:57:45 PM PDT by BlueSky194

Zimbabwe's once proud white farming community is facing extinction, as President Robert Mugabe steps up his campaign of violence and intimidation on all fronts. Virtually all of the remaining 280 white farmers have been invaded by government supporters since Mr Mugabe lost the first round of the presidential election in March.

Now, at last, there is nothing to hold Zimbabwe back! The mind fairly reels when contemplating the glorious future that lies before wonderful Zimbabwe and it’s brave leader, President-until-removed-by-G-d, Robert Mugabe!

Because he was born there?

Sounds like the descendants of the original Dutch farmers have turned into metrosexuals. What happened to the great spirit when it mattered?

Why are there still even White Farmers in Zimbabwe?

If your family has farmed the land for generations, it is hard to leave, even when you know that the beast has you in his sights. Also when everything you own is tied up in the land and no one can/will buy you out, what choices do you have?

Sad. You have to read “When a Crocodile Eats the Sun” to get an idea of Zimbabwe’s rapid slide into oblivion.

Make all these farmers permanent U.S. residents. With corn, wheat & soybean prices, the way they are, we could use their immense talent.

I was saddened to read in the text, about the farmer Mr Van Rensburg. One wonders what politicians will eventually do in the West if Mugabe goes. More millions?

In the irony of ironies I read of an exhibition in Leeds, England at the University there. Titled "Student Protest in Leeds, May-June 1968". It recalls "four days of student protest that shook the University". This included a Conservative member of parliament and his wife. He addressed the student union in defending Ian Smith and his white regime in the then Rhodesia.

He was spat on and his wife knocked to the floor. A big poo-bah was the President of the Student Union, Jack Straw. The students closed down the administrative building- until four days later the darlings realised it was the summer holidays just up. Well to the fore was this Jack Straw. Tub thumping and being cheered for his support of a "free" Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). Today this man is titled "Lord Chancellor Secretary of State for Justice". This is the Labour government

How ironic? Meanwhile the former students of 1968,no doubt live in safety and comfort, stuffing their fat faces. Toddling of to the local pub etc.

I daresay Jack Straw sleeps quite well.

In South Africa. This is in Zimbabwe. Besides, Mbeki is a nitwit.

And he has always been reluctant to criticize Mugabe. Besides crime in South Africa, particularly in Johannesburg, Durban & Port Elizabeth, is out of control.

Mbeki has his own problems.

Not to mention that the South African government has begun expropriating "white" farms and giving them to the "indigeni".

It’s funny how it always seems to work, isn’t it? A crowd of fools who happens to scream loudly enough at something gets a complete pass because they “thought” they were doing the right thing. All their intolerance, all their violence, and all their barbarism is over-looked, all buried beneath a clock of guilt and the call of racism.

The results are never really as important as the intentions.

Now all that is left is the Zimbabwe voodoo farmers planting magic beans to feed the country.

For some reason the beans do not grow no matter how many human blood sacrifices they make.

According to them, the evil white farmers must have been using some very powerful magic to make their crops grow so well.

It's pretty awful now! Jhb is a war zone, to all intents and purposes, with daily shootings, home invasion robberies, and carjackings at a rate of 29 per day including Saturdays & Sundays.

Electrical power is a nightmare with daily power failures. Generators are in huge demand. The electrical company, ESCOM (government owned), is antiquated and cannot cope with the demand.

People live in fortresses, with the police utterly powerless. Security companies provide armed response and guarantee 3 minute response. The police are under-paid, under-manned, poorly trained and out-gunned.

2012? We may have to rethink that.

Mr Van Rensburg's workers were abused and threatened, and his manager's wife beaten up.

It isn't about race. It was never about race. It's about the ability of an evil, soulless band of punks and thugs to use race as a cover for ruining and expropriating everything that wasn't already theirs. It's about the credulity and stubborn stupidity of their Western enablers to cast it into terms that had everything to do with ideology and nothing whatever to do with fact. It's about two-bit academic fools fantasizing textbook rectitude while the landscape was being spattered with the blood of the innocent. It's about the complete and utter failure of international organizations to deal with a situation that falsified their world view. It's about idiots claiming social justice while children starve. It is everything that is wrong with Africa, with Europe, with the UN. That's what it's about.

These "Idi Amin" types will destroy Africa one nation at a time as the UN does absolutely nothing.

If anything, the UN should be mobilizing a military force to destroy Mugabe and his regime. Either that, or let it continue the way it is.

I predict that they are all doomed, and American taxpayers will be expected to solve their impossible problems.

I had to stumble there a second. And decode that as Johanesburg (sp?). It brought to mind recent tales of Juarez Mexico.

My hispanic friends were warned against crossing the border for some cheap stylish leather shoes and the like. I said even in daytime and they said yes that the gangland murders are even happening in broad daylight.

41 people murdered last weekend.

Society is in total collapse. Not every nation but there is total surrender in some regions of the world to absolute lawlessness and corruption.

Yep,good ol' smilin Jimmy backstabbed every decent person and nation he possibly could, and is still doing it.And he bestowed praise and goodwill upon murderous tyrants and is still doing that.

Jimmy Carter and the fools that supported him are responsible for unleashing the tide of misery that sweeps the world today.Jimmy Carter lead the way in enabling Ayatollah Khomeni's return to power ,and thus Iran's plunge into darkness.Jimmy Carter lead the way in isolating the not-perfect,but so much better than what they have now, governments of Rhodesia and South Africa.

I was going to congratulate you on your #25 as one of the best short summations of what's wrong that I've read, but I think it deserves repeating:

It isn't about race. It was never about race. It's about the credulity and stubborn stupidity of their Western enablers to cast it into terms that had everything to do with ideology and nothing whatever to do with fact.
