INTERRUPTION FOR PRAYER FOR YOUR DAD
Dear Gramma
Please forgive me if there has been another update since #275, as I just read the ping from last night (#271). (Spirit thank you for pinging me.)
Let’s pray:
Lord God, we thank you for the entire family of Brad’s Gramma and how they have put their lives in Your hands for Your purposes. Lord God, You ordain the times and seasons. You ordain every day of our earthly lives until we are to return to You in heaven for all eternity. We thank you for Gramma’s dad. We thank You for the honesty with which he has spoken. Now we pray You be his encouragement for him in this hour - Your Way. You know that You have purpose for each one of us every day ofour lives - no matter our physical condition. You know how mightily You can use even the invalid to shine Your light into the dark places where You sometimes lead them to go. You know how important and valuable our prayers, which can be uttered so long as we are in our right mind. Give Gramma’s dad a vision of how You can use him even now. Let him know that whenever he is courteous - even joyous - with the medical providers, he is fulfilling his God-given purpose - to be Your ambassador on earth. We ask You to comfort him, to heal him Your way, in Your timing, but most of all we ask You to speak to his heart the grand purpose he still serves for Your kingdom here on earth in so many ways as long as You choose to leave him here. Please let him not under estimate the blessing he is to his family and all around him (in Your Name). Pour out the balm of Your Spirit upon him, that joy in the day would bubble up and out of him once again. We put our trust in You. You will not disappoint. In Jesus’ name, Amen

OK.......he’s doing “GOOD”! (the nurse’s way of describing it....!!). He’ll be in the hospital till Wednesday, the way it stands right now. He’s been refusing all pain meds. The nurse said a physical therapist is coming in this afternoon to work w/him on his shoulder and legs, to try to find out why he keeps falling down. After which, he’ll be BEGGING for pain meds.
I said that would be MORE than wonderful cuz no matter WHICH doctor, no matter what TYPE of doctor...they can’t find out why he’s doing that...
He’s in good spirits today, better than the depression he was in last night.
I canNOT thank each and every one of you enough for the prayers. They’ve been felt, they’re being answered...you’re ALL being used by our Lord......
