Hi Lori, I thought about Tony yesterday as well. I got home from work early but not early enough to hear if he was filling in for BOR. I thought, how strange there had been no Snow pings for awhile.

I had the good fortune to hear the replay of President George HW Bush and his lovely wife Barbara talking about Tony Snow. Mrs. Bush became tearful as she spoke of Tony Snow’s staunch loyalty to those he worked for and his friends.

Tony Snow was a man of great character and faith. My prayers are with his wife and children.

Tony was a terrific man and an example for all. He was one of a kind and a man of genuine character. This world is much the worse today for him being gone.

Mrs. Bush became tearful as she spoke of Tony Snow’s staunch loyalty to those he worked for and his friends. I got to hear it both times. It was very touching. I keep trying to tear away from the computer - I'm donating blood this morning in West Los Angeles - but as you know, it is sometimes very hard to tear away from Free Republic, especially - especially - at a time like this, when we have lost literally one of our own.

I have not been on this site in months but I had to do so immediately when I heard this sad news. What a fantastic guy, that Tony Snow. Our loss here below, heaven’s gain.
