A truly lovely tribute to Tony, thank you for the link. What can one say? I said earlier that a point of light for all of us has been extinguished, and that is so true. Also a great example of how to go about a successful life. We are not born with an inner sense of how to go about living ‘happy’. That’s why positive role models are so important. Tony Snow was just that, and I so deeply miss knowing that he is not somewhere in the world, breathing the same air I do.
I remember the morning after my mom died ten years ago. She had died in the hospital, in the wee hours. We sat with her until she was gone, and finally, sadly left ... about an hour before dawn. At home, I sat in my chair, just staring out the window, unable to cry yet, just stunned that she was actually gone. As I watched the sun come up over the trees in my yard it hit me. Another day was beginning, like so many others, and mama was no longer a part of it all. Gone. That is what I am feeling about Tony Snow right now. Time keeps moving forward.... but he is no longer a part of time.
Thank GOD I knew this man was a believer who trusted in the finished work of his Savior. Thank God. I know where he is, and it is a good and wonderful place. I’m just so sorry for ME, and his family and the rest of us.
